but at this time, tranter and potent were both hanging out on someone who had a single vote - did you not want to wait to see if one of them would move to push someone else to 3? potent in particular had incentive to do this since he had 3 at this time, while pink and tranter and jortles just had 2.

To be candid: an hour ish before the deadline was when I had a window of opportunity in work day to go back and read through all that's happened so far, and I came out of it feeling like having you in the run off makes sense given the movements that occurred. I don't have much else to go off of D1

Dad Dog I feel the need to consult the committee... where does this score on the "out in the field" meter? I thinking that it's clean because she is responding to criticism and not using the field to preemptively excuse behavior.

Ok went back and took a look at all the moving around and posts. My general reasoning here is... last to vote and voiced a lot of concern over tranter being stacked (plus seemed to really avoid voting for him).

I'm reading this way different. I think Pink's move to push things to three was stupid / unnecessary. It's not how our normal games are played. It should be assumed we'd get it back to 4. But pink being new and not realizing that made me really feel like that was a town thing. I think mafia mates would have told pink that there's nothing to worry about.
Ditto Cinci. Had to think about this one longer. But for basically the same reason I have Cinci as a Town read for also pushing towards a 3 person runoff.
Potent in that situation did what I think any of us who have played more than 5 games or so would have done, so I'm not sure how you are pulling anything from it in either direction.

most d1 analysis can be seen as "a stretch." i was on pink as my initial vote, had no reason to move over staying unless something nudged me in a different direction. similar to you, i saw the way that pink navigated things as not particularly mafia-ish; it read to me as someone who might be getting more confident in playing as town (since he isnt AS new now) and, as you mentioned, making a sorta silly play but in an endeavor to "get in on the action."
if i am feeling like im slightly leaning town on who i placed an initial vote on (it is d1 so "slightly leaning" is all i can really gauge this early), why wouldnt i switch to someone i see as more a question mark? would you not do the same?

i wouldve liked pink v potent but when i went back to look at the vote movement around potent, it made me want to keep him in.
Read: what everyone else around me has done (which, of course, I have no control over).
yeah i get that you dont control them/their moves (unless on a maf team together, of course y'all might have a plan around it, but if you're town -- then no, it is completely out of your control). but i just explained in post above to jortles what made me feel like i shouldnt stay on pink. otter was already bumped to 4, and there had been some movement on/off you so i switched off pink. it is pretty straightforward.

idk rummy did that shit last game and it was annoying but she was town so could go either way. would be good cover to do the same move over and over again.

I'm of course fine with you switching to someone I'm voting for. Works for me.
But you were saying that Potent should have moved to even the runoff like Pink and Cinci did, right? That is the part that smells to me. It's so obvious that Pink and Cinci evening up to 3 was abnormal. Not what Potent did by staying.
