most d1 analysis can be seen as "a stretch." i was on pink as my initial vote, had no reason to move over staying unless something nudged me in a different direction. similar to you, i saw the way that pink navigated things as not particularly mafia-ish; it read to me as someone who might be getting more confident in playing as town (since he isnt AS new now) and, as you mentioned, making a sorta silly play but in an endeavor to "get in on the action."
if i am feeling like im slightly leaning town on who i placed an initial vote on (it is d1 so "slightly leaning" is all i can really gauge this early), why wouldnt i switch to someone i see as more a question mark? would you not do the same?
I'm of course fine with you switching to someone I'm voting for. Works for me.
But you were saying that Potent should have moved to even the runoff like Pink and Cinci did, right? That is the part that smells to me. It's so obvious that Pink and Cinci evening up to 3 was abnormal. Not what Potent did by staying.
i moved off pink for a specific reason and onto Potent because 1) otter was already at four, and 2) how other people's movement around potent occurred, it wasn't just about him not moving. i said it was the general movement. come on, read between the lines bb: i am sus on someone who was participatory within said general movement. if i didnt phrase it well when i switched my vote, sorry, but also i wasnt trying to spell it all out necessarily here in d1.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
right, so this was when you switched back onto otter from potent.
but at this time, tranter and potent were both hanging out on someone who had a single vote - did you not want to wait to see if one of them would move to push someone else to 3? potent in particular had incentive to do this since he had 3 at this time, while pink and tranter and jortles just had 2.
I read this bolded part wrong. I thought him not moving was your reasoning.

wait Jake Jortles i need to know now: is this going to be a game that we persistently squabble or one where we make other people suspicious by our continual agreement? let me know and i'll jot it down so i dont forget.

Ok went back and took a look at all the moving around and posts. My general reasoning here is... last to vote and voiced a lot of concern over tranter being stacked (plus seemed to really avoid voting for him).
If moving of votes is really your concern, then there is a way more obvious candidate in this runoff.

Tbh, like I said, I think pink should really be in on this. But I've got to make choices with the options I've been given and the info I've got to work with. I looked at potent, but he only made a couple of votes. And unless I go with the theory of this whole "not moving" innuendo that Rummy and Jortles are going on about, I don't see why it would make sense to go for potent. I'm open to hearing the case though.

this isn't what we are going on about, though which is what he read wrong in my original post and what i've now clarified twice.
go back and read it again if you'd be so kind.
p.s. "this whole not moving innuendo" is a very funny phrase to me

it makes sense that tranter would hang back while someone else had 3 votes and he just had 2; regardless of whether town or maf, there's of course reason to want to keep yourself alive. but i find it a little odd that potent wasn't moving to get someone else to 3 along with him.

You've conveniently only quoted one of your two posts, and in fact the one that Jortles said he read wrong was the other post. You stated that it was odd when I didn't try to bump someone else to 3 when I was at 3 very clearly, and then you pulled a last minute switch voting for me, saving pink.
Jake Jortles I think you read the post correctly. She quoted the wrong one to throw you off apparently.

i never claimed i didnt SAY it. i dont know how else to continue explaining this because ive pointed out multiple times now that yes, i brought up the "lack of switch" but also clearly pointed to general movement. i made a fine move based on info i had/have at the time. it isn't suspicious of me that i also said it was "a little odd" you didnt move with only 90 minutes left in the round; "a little odd" is hardly damning, and it wasnt that thing that made me move.
