I am watching Korn for the 3rd time and looking back on the thread from Sunday. That was 12:15 - thinking maybe Foo Fighters ended a half hour or so earlier? Something was important. Maybe I finally got back to my car? Had an incredible day and just run into Inforoo at Foo Fighters and probably had sparks going off in my brain. Someone told me they fed me some spaghetti. But it’s a mystery what wtf was about.

I remember being there at foos and finally running into Abra which was the first time I had seen her all weekend. Like 20 or so Inforoo people were there. Admittedly I was on an alternate journey to somewhere. Maybe I was happy with Bonnaroo overall or maybe not wanting it to be over? Whatever it was I’m surprised I typed anything remotely coherent even if it wasn’t. Hope everybody does it again, me and you included.

I'm pretty good at finding people (browell , Jake Jortles , Dad Dog , ran into trantsgiving twice while he was seeking a better spot for a show [been there esp. pre getting in touch with inforoo people at all], sfa and I just happened to find katbur2 's tree out of both respect and love. I do what I do out of love and never over obligation and I hope the people who know me understand this.

We saw several of the same shows too which was weird we didn’t cross earlier. I don’t even think I ran into Jaz at all or if I finally did I was out there. I didn’t see Death Cab until Umphrey’s. And yeah I ran into lots of people more frequently last year. I still ran into lots of people but presumably the differences in crowd size was the main contributor as well as me not being able to make the brunch. Overall I think I saw Festive Browell the most. He was even kind enough to come give us hugs goodbye Sunday morning at Makaya. I caught several shows with or near Pablo, Teddy, Farris, zac and Arch was around a bunch too. Jake and Mad Dog sightings here and there and a couple times Tranter and cum. Lots of others like Ozzy and Kern I ran into maybe once. Didn’t see Todd that much but he was rail and mosh pits and I only got in one. Always pleasant and makes me happy to see anyone off here who I do all consider family level.

Controversial take: pit was so fucking easy even with this many people.. they are estimating 90k+ were there. I NEVER got rejected from a pit as a late arriver (except Three 6 where I was like... Heidi we are going to the fucking pit)

Got into The Which pit a bunch. I think I only got pit for Sheryl Crow over at The What. Maybe more but I can remember.
The only show we wanted to possibly pit for was Kendrick, but that seemed like a devil's draw... but we were able to found our sunflower squad, and that was probably a more positive experience

I wonder if trantsgiving made it to the pit in time, but I do wonder? We were in a good sonic spot across from the VIP entrance but a bit forward on the left too The Kendrick performance was beyond my expectations. And SFA even said he's making this too easy.

It seems like everyone regardless of camping situation / crew had a much better time this year than last year. I’d say a monster portion of that is lineup leading to more attendance leading to more “magic”, but I’m wondering how much also has to do with weather. Lets move this slut to mid May. It could still be very hot, but it improves the chances of livable conditions. It’s time.

Agreed. Projected temps rise so quickly from mid-May to mid-June.
Strange that they haven’t announced next year’s dates though. Maybe considering a different weekend? Just please don’t push it further back in June.

What prompted these guys to single out this campsite? And what exactly makes them legit? Did they flash a badge? Were there a lot of dudes with muscles wearing escort shirts at roo this year? A shirt that says "ESCORT" and cargo pants doesn't exactly scream "I am legally allowed to search you and take your shit" to me.

This is bullshit but I do have a lot of respect for the Escort guys. Saw them handle two different scary situations at Roo and they handled them quickly, efficiently, and without causing much other fuss. I only saw them handle violence, I didn't realize they were doing this kind of shit too.

Ok those are just poachers. The cops do not have Escort shirts they always wear full gear. Not saying this didn't happen, just that they were not official cops in any capacity

They're absolutely not on duty officers. Not sure if they are just security, or if they're off duty employed by the festival. In 2022 there was a guy in the Grove aggressively trying to sell his sand to people, and being extremely creepy to women. He was asked to pack it up and leave and when he refused and tried to fight the Escort dudes, they handled the situation, then handcuffed him with real metal cuffs and packed his shit up and had it towed. Not sure where he went after that.
They're definitely employed by the festival, and are at least official security.
