Jesus that's fucking brutal. Should have just done 2 days
Who was gonna fork over $300 for 2 days just so theres no conflicts. It would sell like ass.
And everytime some lineup that gets announced which is considered "stacked" everyone says how amazing it is and then het insanely upset as to how the schedule isnt to their exact liking.
Finally bought our passes, so we're officially in! Heading down to South Pasadena Thursday night, going to Disneyland Friday and doing the fest with my wife and daughter on Saturday.
If anyone is looking for something do to do after the fest, there's this:
Not sure if Luke is a good DJ, but he has good taste in music and used to do art for FYF and Localchella. We haven't been to Bigfoot Lodge since we lived in Los Feliz years ago.

anyone familiar with the area around the rose bowl? we booked our airbnb allegedly walking distance to the venue, so any recs would be greatly appreciated!
Saw Fever Ray in Boston last night and they were really good but with the lighting heavy production they have the set really won't work during the daytime

Our Airbnb is like 18 minutes away in Rosemead. Does anyone have any breakfast places they recommend for something to do before the fest on Saturday?

Hope you enjoyed last year's overcast and 70-ish JLH, because this Saturday is shaping up to be one of the warmest days of the year so far. Current forecast is 86 and has risen every time I've checked it. Not horrible by any means but definitely break out the sunscreen!

Nice! I grew up Rosemead, which is in the San Gabriel Valley, the mecca for Chinese food in Los Angeles. There are a ton of great options for early-ish meals, from dim sum (Lunasia, Sea Harbour, NBC Seafood, Capital Seafood) to more casual Hong Kong-style cafes (Delicious Food Corner, Alice's Kitchen, JJ Cafe).
For more standard brunch fare closer in proximity to the festival, my wife and I really enjoy the brunch at The Raymond in South Pasadena and Bone Kettle in Old Town Pasadena (this one is within reasonable walking distance to the shuttle stop).

Can someone explain how the shuttle stop works again?
$10 to park in the lot, shuttle itself is free, maybe a 15-minute shuttle ride. They'll usually open up a shortcut to exit near the shuttle pickup near the end of the night. No need to show anything on the ride back, good way to avoid rideshare price surging near the Rose Bowl if you want to Uber to/from the shuttle lot.

Do any of you know if reentry is permitted? I bought the MGMT vinyl with my ticket and it'd be nice if I could go drop it off at the hotel and come back.

I’m debating if I should Parsons this year and curious: do you know if it filled up quickly last year? I’m planning to be in by Azealia Banks, so I’m hoping it should be easy to find a spot at that time

Guess I'll get a locker if I have to.
no reentry but they will probably hold it for you until the end of the night.

Did they give you pick up instructions and/or say its getting shipped? I doubt theyre just gonna hand it to you at will call or the gate. Its prob gonna get stashed at record safari I bet.

My understanding is that it's picked up at the merch tent. Record safari makes sense.

Current plan: Cults>Strfkr>Metronomy>Ladytron>The Bravery>The Walkmen>Hot Chip>Caribou>MGMT (30 minutes)>M83>Yeah yeah yeahs
Right now my biggest decision is whether to stick it out for all of MGMT or duck out for M83. I'm really hoping MGMT plays the album in order, but I don't expect them to because it's so front heavy.
