Holy crap, so interesting to see someone else had this exact same experience at that Stars show at the Fonda. I had just off memory:
-When my wife went to the bathroom in between sets, a couple squeezed into her space and started boxing me out; when I told them my wife was coming back, they ignored me -Two pairs of people around me loudly yelling conversation to each other during Kevin Drew and Ben Harper playing "Sweetest Kill" -Woman behind me (who was not standing behind me in between sets) telling me during the show to move because I was tall (while the music was going on). And when I said I've literally been standing in that spot for 90 minutes so wasn't going to move, she boxed me out and pushed in front of me to purposefully drive a wedge in between my wife and I until we moved behind her two minutes later
Just the rudest crowd, I left wondering if I should stop seeing live shows as much because people are assholes
Ah, so it was the whole venue then and not just my group getting unlucky everywhere we moved around to! We dealt with: - Extremely intoxicated woman who kept falling over on people, who kept blaming it on her "back issues" - Mom who kept moving her 10-year-old son in front of everyone until they were up front, and this kid looked bored out of his mind and clearly didn't want to be there - Girl who was shout-singing every lyric so loudly that everyone around her moved away so they could actually hear the band (we ended up in 3 different places during the show cause we encountered assholes everywhere we went)
Combined with the PJ Harvey crowd earlier in the week being no picnic either (only half the crowd had arrived by the time she started; the other half slowly trickled in from the bar over the next hour and were too drunk/stupid to figure out where their seats were, constantly interrupting every attendee but not the ushers for some reason), all the worst people you encounter at shows were out in full force last week in LA for some reason. I don't know what was in the air.
And thats another reason I hate going to the Greek.

Tbh I didn't know Scissor Sisters broke up, oops. I also don't think I've listened to them since sophomore year of college. I'd see them, though.
Stars added more SYOF anniversary dates for next Feb and April, includes return visits to NYC and Vancouver but not LA and the dates clash with Coachella, so they will still be touring it and the dream is very much alive!
