This analysis isn’t terrible or anything but every time I read one of these there’s always some factual error that drives me nuts. “Coachella was booking one film composer per year for a little while”. No! They weren’t! You should know that as the guy who does the Coachella analysis every year!!!

Keem is closing Okeechobee and is top billed for the whole festival- he's newer on the scene and is blowing up in a similar vein to the way Goose is. Festivals want him BAD right now.

do they? He’s only really playing Okee and Roo. He’s also second behind Odesza at Okee so not #1 for the whole thing.
I don’t think all that guys points land but Kendrick’s push on Keem is pretty annoying.

I'm not gonna lie Odesza's been top everywhere so I kinda forgot about them

Not North American but he’s the second highest billed hip hop act on his day at Primavera Sound. Who’s #1? Kendrick.
both this post and the analysis I posted the other day have also completely forgotten Code Orange played last year too. Turnstile and Knocked Loose are not the only hardcore bands in the world!

they also booked Soul Glo and even Scowl! Whose most notable performance to date took place in the parking lot of a Sonic Drive-in!

If you're booking Kendrick this year why wouldn't you also book Baby Keem anyways?
bc he's not that good.
also, he takes up prime real estate and opened for Kendricks tour last year. Just feel like Bonnaroo should go for more creative HL / sub combos. It's one of the big appeals of a festival, to see acts that normally wouldn't open for each other.
can't find it but last year before the lineup dropped, there was someone in the ACL IG comments saying that if the lineup wasn't good, they were going to sue C3 and also mentioned that they jumped the fence just to see Jack Harlow

Turnstile, Knocked Loose, and Code Orange being the biggest hardcore bands still seems weird to me.

I think Turnstile is pretty unquestionably the biggest but there’s gotta be someone else in second right?

Oh yeah. Turnstile is definitely the biggest and make the most sense for crossover appeal. Maybe it's just that they've been around for a while, and I don't get why they're blowing up now.
