The Setup
You have been given the opportunity to curate a meal for meal time in competition with four others. Foods chosen will be locked into non-compete clauses preventing them from being on any of these other meals. There are no undrafted free agents, thats got nothing to do with this. Winners will be decided by a panel of judges.
You can't just do different flavors or types of the same food. Like if I draft vanilla ice cream you can't draft chocolate ice cream. If i draft a delicious ribeye you can't draft a delicious porterhouse, steak is already gone. if a classic american style cheese burger is drafted you can't just put onion rings and bbq sauce on a burger and draft a "western" burger.
Eligible Food
Any food that has appeared in at least one full meal eaten by a human since January 1, 2015 (or has upcoming meal times officially announced) is eligible to be drafted. However, they must meet what is known as the Wikipedia Rule: In their Wikipedia page's header, at least one of the following words must be included: food. it must be food for humans. If there are strange exceptions that by the spirit of the game seem like they should be eligible, you can try and draft them but come on, i don't know why you would try and push the boundaries of this draft anyway. please just draft food.
Examples of ineligible picks: Radiohead, Tame Impala, Run the Jewels, Arcade Fire, Pavement, The Mars Volta, Sonic Youth, Sigur Ros

People have a surprisingly hard time with this so listen up: you will draft five foods total across five rounds. each food you draft must be placed in a category. you can choose categories in any order. you don't have to do appetizer first. after you have categorized your food you can't change categories. so lets say i really wanted ice cream for dessert and i'm first overall pick, i could be like "i draft ICE CREAM as a DESSERT". you can draft two sides.
be as descriptive as you'd like in your picks. you could do plain vanilla ice cream or ice cream with chocolate syrup and sprinkles. you can describe all the condiments used if you want.
i won't be too strict on categories. if you want to consider a corn dog a side dish like Cookout does go nuts. if you want buttered biscuits for dessert have at it. the goal i think is to make a cohesive and delicious meal, but do whatever makes you proud.
don't take all day with your picks. or don't take more than a day anyway. there's only five contestants and five rounds this should be fine. if you check inforoo once a week or something don't sign up, we're glad you're here but these drafts aren't for you.
randomized order into snake draft you know the deal. i won't be participating i just want to see what happens.

not sure if we can make it happen but i think it'd be fun to do a Judges Table zoom call where all the participants and judges have a call so we can ask questions about the participants choices and announce the winner.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
