Lighting candles, having a tarot reading, setting forth intentions and wishing on the wind, checking horoscopes or wearing a certain pair of socks because your team wins everytime you do. So here is a little no-judgement thread to share any odd events, upcoming news or to ask questions of one another.
Pisces season started this weekend and we went right into a new moon today! The "catch-all" last house in the traditional 12-sign zodiac, mutable, magical Pisces encompass a little bit of every other sign and are very influenced by their emotions and connection with others. This month is all about big emotions, romance, dreams and creativity. With today's new moon, it is the perfect day to set intentions in the realm of relationships, healing and love. New moons symbolize new beginnings, putting energy into refreshing what you do have or of simply letting go.

Obviously that would be very cool - though I hope that our revolution would go better than the French's - but Chani likes to make leaps sometimes. We're at a sticking point for sure, but I don't know how to undo the damage of billionaires and bought-and-sold politicians.

Happy New Moon and astrological New Year, honeys! We enter Aries season, a time of boldly going forward, of confidence, of starting a new life and not letting a single motherfucker tell you that you can’t. You are on fire, baby!
Additionally, sister moon is in her state of renewal. This is the perfect time to set an intention, start a new habit/ritual or a new relationship.
Aries are very straightforward people. Passive aggression can’t touch them, it sizzles away upon contact with their thick, earnest auras. Likewise, Aries are incapable of subtlety in social interactions. You can count on Aries to bring a sledgehammer to a snark fight, and they rarely ever realize they’ve arrived over-equipped for the occasion. After all, it always gets the job done! Aries sometimes struggle to repair collateral damage following a collision. They don’t come with rearview mirrors installed, and may fail to notice damage they’ve left behind. But once summoned to the task, Aries are excellent at conflict resolution; you just have to bring the problem to their attention first.
Can Aries be blunt, bossy assholes? Duh, obviously! But it’s all part of their appeal. Aries are even harder-charging in affection than combat, and once they’ve taken you in as one of their own, they’ll fight the very universe itself to keep you from suffering pain. What means nothing means something elsewhere. And I don’t know what this means at all, but Jack Kerouac is my birthday twin and this quote from On the Road has always resonated with me:
the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes “Awww!”
So I had this candle made tonight at the burlesque show.
