RKS just announced their fall tour. Seems unlikely for them to be the unnamed headliner unless they close Sunday which I doubt is gonna happen. So who we thinking?
Would have to be them closing Sunday if they come. If we get them, we'll likely get Flipturn since they're touring together!
I love FlipTurn so that's not a terrible trade off but would they really close out Sunday? Feel like a-lot people would head out early Sunday if that was the case. Mt.Joy would probably pull a bigger Sunday closer crowd than them imo.
Doesn't RKS have Thursday the 26th open? It's gotta be them
I know it's not a far drive but would they go DC to Hula then back to Charlotte?

I don't think we can disqualify them from playing on the 26th because the tour routing would be somewhat inconvenient lol. I would love for it to be Billy (or anyone else really), but I can't look past the below:
-Only name on the leak not on released lineup (likely withheld due to May Florida dates) -The lineup with their name was found on the Hula app last week -The hidden name on the lineup aligns perfectly with their name -They had to drop off of last year's lineup -They have both Thursday and Sunday of the fest open

Maybe they left RKS off because they picked up 2 NC shows instead of doing just 1... Like they had intentions on doing the make-up but things changed. IDK seeming more and more unlikely tbh. Billy Strings would be a huge W but it also seems like a bigger booking than necessary? Maybe I'm just trying to keep my expectations low.

It does seem bigger than expected but I could see Billy doing like a two set show with the band and then a BillyCheeseIncident with Billy on the Electric Guitar.
He loves Hula and the guys from Cheese. Not to mention tickets being $550. Could use one more big name imo.

Tbh neither am I. With Billy and Goose being in Europe at the same time the week after, I'll probably do another Europe extravaganza instead of Hula. I can get a one way flight to Amaterdam cheaper than a Hula ticket. Once you add in flights and a rental car for Hula it'll probably come out to about the same price plus intimate venues > festival shows.

My thoughts as well. they're like shitty pop folk. i guess since they haven't been around since the lead transitioned and that's why? maybe they'll announce a few additions. if they add at least 1 more artist i'll be great. I gotta say i'm very excited for domi and JD beck as well
I love RKS. Tho I admittedly grew a bit of a resentment after what happened last year... Not that people shouldn't take time off for their mental health, particularly right after they begin such a huge life altering event such as a transition, I just thought it was handled poorly by both the band and the festival.
Whatever, bring it on. I loved this lineup already so...
