god and this is even more possible (that mafia wasnt fully convinced MD was inspo when they faked or even right after it, through D2 - so the cinci whack wasn't entirely devoid of trying to make sure inspo was gone) given how cinci was playing. quite absent, not saying much. maf absolutely could've had a convo behind scenes of like, "it was likely MD but if theres one person still alive who could be hanging back to try and make it through N2 to reveal, it's probably cinci" given how he was throughout the whole game.
if others dont see it as weird that samp and dan are pushing this idea as fact, idk what to say at this point.

Right. At the point of the cincy whack, mafia was faced with one of two situations:
A) Pink was maf and faking. In which case, they had to be feeling pretty good about the fact that the actual inspo was out of the game. B) Pink was actually inspo. In which case, they wanted to sow as much doubt as possible on his claim to inspector. Thus leaving him in the game and whacking cincy.

first dan saying "no, mafia wasnt whacking cinci as potential inspo" as if it is stated fact. how would he know if he was town? by end of d2, of course i was in near-total belief that MD had been inspo, but there have absolutely been games where an early fake comes out and real inspector chooses to stay quiet through that Day to make it through the Night so they can come out immediately start of the next Day with more info. this typically happens if the fake occurs at a time when the inspector has limited useful info (e.g. in this scenario, if pink came out with his fake when cinci was actual inspector but only had potent as given or only had pink as given, so it would've given little for Town to work with if the counter was immediate). no one BUT MAFIA could've known for fact that "oh of course mafia wasnt gunning for potential inspo" when cinci whack occurred. so why is dan stating it as fact?
now samp saying same thing. i feel loony watching this discourse play out and no others jump in to question their narrative. pls can other townsfolk come engage beyond samp & dan who are in this rabbit hole of thinking im lying and unwilling to look at the other side? just fucking look at the amount of effort ive put in versus pink. this is the thing that town looks back at THE MOST with regret, in prior fakes with framing: that they sided with the person who wasn't present/who was just throwing out an occasional post but otherwise very low effort, and then the game wraps and they look back at it and realize how telling it was.

you sure it hasnt happened d2 before? i am not about to go through tons of games after ive already spent truly so many hours on this one & it is feeling pointless that i even have, but i do think it's happened with an early d2 reveal too, where real inspo had only the name of either the d1 exile or the person faking, so they chose to wait. not the right call at all IMO but not inconceivable to happen.
believe me, i think MD was inspector, absolutely. not cinci. but i cant know that and you or samp trying to state it as fact is weird to me. people have fucked up as inspectors before, waiting too long to counter or even just straight up letting themselves get exiled without giving their name (LD did once, i think another person too)

I would just like to point out that y'all asked me to make a case for why I'm voting the way I'm voting, and I did that. Am I 100% certain? Hell no! There are certain aspects of my case I'm more confident in than others, but I gotta lay out the strongest overall case I can. That is all I'm doing.

i feel like i’ve said all that i can w/r/t you being maf. i respect your commitment to not being found out but i don’t feel like i need to write an essay to convince everyone you’re maf when you obviously cover your tracks well but were unfortunate enough to be my given. the same logical points have been echoed by a few of us already and i don’t see any need repeating them.

I spent a lot of time looking over the game last night and what has been said today. We don't have any confirmed townies so there's possibilities for both sides. I feel like the usual play would be to eliminate Rummy. The thing with Pink being real inspector that has got me questioning things is the double guess/whack. Yes it puts heat on them but it also fucks the town over with nothing to work with, making it harder to figure out who Pink is working with.
Something Samp said today about voting records got me looking back there. I noticed a pattern of Dan having a vote on Pink early both D1 and early D2 which could be a tactic to put Dan in position to save Pink if need be. When shit hit the fan with both Dan and Pink in the D2 runoff, Rummy could have been a good distraction for town with her word salads. Especially if Cum is the third mafia. Other Pink - Dan possibilities are still in play but because of the lack of cleared townies from Pink, I feel like that third could be a toss up.
I've agreed with the logic so far that Pink is inspector because of no inspector counter. The double whiff has me skeptical and I can't rule out that inspector has been eliminated. Even though I've been agreeing with Dan on some levels, his attitude this game and the way he's been talking, on top of the way he's been almost daring the town to do otherwise makes me feel like there's something going on there.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
