Last year for Ceremonia the only crossover in the bolded artists was Rosalia, and The Blaze, who were both hidden on the initial poster drop. I feel like Justice, Twigs, ect are out
Willow, Domi & JD Beck and Ethel Cain were crossovers too and those names weren't hidden.

Oh I totally forgot about Willow. I knew Ethel and Domi crossed over but those were smaller names that I figured they didn't care to cover up.
Did not see that one coming but all right then, even if I am not a big fan of these bands (much better than the other alternatives/who are still in play- them playing their greatest hits at the Polo Fields will be epic ), GV/PT, do it. Keane -> Coldplay
why not book snore patrol also and pretend its live 8 in 2005

Keane is busy weekend 2 if you didnt bother to check.
ugh that was quick lol. Okay, Siri, I am done with Hopes and Fears. There won’t be massive sing-alongs at Coachella. I’ll go back to learning some Jungkook dance moves then. Lmao

Hmmm, for some old-timers like me, we will take boring acts that are still relevant somewhere and for many years to come like Keane, Snow Patrol vs the boring non-sense craps twerking lately at Coachella lol.

not a bad trio of headliners by any means but relatively safe. maybe thats a good thing considering all of the headliner shenanigans the last 3 years
Lana would not outdraw Tyler and no way she would go on after him lol, they're both huge in their own rights and both have a massive stan following. Lana's live show can't touch Tyler's, though.
But agreed, safe is probably for the best after 2019, 2022, and 2023 had headliner drop outs and/or blunders
I’m late to this, but Garrix would not be booked. Can’t even think of the last time he’s been on a lineup that isn’t Ultra or Tomorrowland type festivals. He’s pretty culturally irrelevant.
Just because you can’t think of it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. Was literally at an all genre festival Sep 2.
He’s just as relevant as Louis the Child, Madeon, Disclosure, Flume, Porter, Chris Lake + Fisher etc who have been booked in the last 2 years or any of the names I listed in my OP
Beer bet? I'm 100% certain that he would not be booked.
I’m personally of the opinion that Lana would outdraw Tyler, but I can see it going either way. Ending the night with Lana sounds boring as hell though.

maybe they book tyler and lana as co-headliners and have them rotate ala blur and stone roses

No point if you have RTTD to make it easier. But lets say Lana was a RTTD, like thats how you want to end your friday or saturday night? Taking a damn nap? They saw how everyone wanted to end their evenings on saturday and sunday of weekend 2 and it wasnt with sleepy music. Next logical move for a RTTD is a rapper if you dont have a dj in there. So Cardi B makes the most sense. Lots of energy and a guarantee of guests.

RTTD doesn’t necessarily have to close out the night. It can still be the headliner.
Hasn't Lana been drawing bigger crowds than the actual headliners at festivals? I can't see Tyler pulling the biggest crowd at nearly any festival.
Yeah, mainly due to the fact that she figured out scarcity is the biggest selling point. The tour she just finished was barely 10 dates and lots of people travelled. She could do a Billy Joel/Garth Brooks style of announcing and such and the show would sell out each time at this point.

Yeah I read she drew a bigger crowd than RHCP at Lolla.
I feel like a douchebag for pulling this random card but I drove by the festival on Lake Shore Drive when they were both playing and I don’t think this was the case.

I would be surprised if her crowd was bigger but it was definitely one of the biggest I’ve seen at that stage in my years of going to the fest. It was pretty packed nearly all the way to the bandshell.
Prior to her recent southern dates Lana hasn’t toured since 2019 and even then she was in tiny venues. Otherwise it’s been since the Lust for Life tour since she has toured all across the country playing large venues, and she’s definitely gotten way bigger since then.
That is also definitely the case; it extended well over to the fence on the right side too. It is perhaps a testament to how much people want to keep seeing RHCP for some reason that it was a fair fight at all.

In the hypothetical of Dua, Tyler, Coldplay, and Lana being the top names (which I'd be down for). To me it makes the most sense to have Coldplay on Friday night, Dua and Tyler on Saturday night, and Lana on Sunday.
Still think RTTD is going to a David Guetta-adjacent artist. Somebody who may have headlined 10 years ago but maybe wouldn't today. Late night Saturday slot also just feels like more of a "Lets keep this party going" vibe than "Hey, remember when Lana Del Rey played 7 years ago? Here she is again, still not headlining." Idk
Are people still getting tickets the same week that they add themselves to the waitlist? We're thinking about pulling the trigger early this year.
