Thats why they pay him the big bucks. Still has to be something like that to counter program Swift, though. I mean Post Malone was in Sahara which lead into Beyonce but you still had split the crowd up because a lot left after Tyler to go to Sahara for Post.

I think when people climbed up the delay tower boxes that literally say "do not climb, high voltage" you know people are stupid and lucky that they dont get hurt. Nothing will top the insanity of 2008 with MIA and Hot Chip in the Sahara and people climbing the tent supports.
She will headline this festival eventually, for sure. Great performer, huge with the soon to be majority of the festival going demographic, already exhibited a strong subheadline performance.

Really gonna compare them playing in their backyard when half of Germany can roll up to Barca? Nope. This is likely their last tour from them and no way would they do Coachella as something other than a headliner.
If anything, a properly-billed Depeche Mode farewell tour might include a Coachella appearance. But L.A. is arguably their biggest U.S. market. A farewell tour would probably see them at SoFi, Dodger Stadium or the Rose Bowl. A 3-night stadium engagement would probably pay them equal to the Coachella headlining gig. Probably makes more sense to just play for their fans.

Rose Bowl farewell is the only thing they would consider I figure. They just have to do it. They dropped the ball not having an anniversary show for 101. Would be cool to have the same openers since theyre still around.
