Yeah, though that was 2016; they have a lot more Coachella tickets to sell these days. I doubt there's a ton of overlap in the two audiences but they still might want the Coachella lineup to feel as special as it can.
But I also agree it wouldn't be a great sign for this year's lineup if that's the reason they're holding Hangout.
They shared Calvin, Kid Laroi, and Glorilla this year.
Right, but sharing bigger acts like that and still having Hangout release first is a sign of confidence in Coachella's lineup - they knew it was good enough that it wouldn't matter if a few big names had already come out on a different lineup. My (and the meatball sub's) point is that if they're sharing big acts but don't feel comfortable having Hangout come out first, it indicates they're a bit more worried about Coachella seeming special this year.
There’s no west coast dates at all, probably on a different leg. I have a feeling they are going to be announced for Shaky Knees this week so won’t be at Coachella.
Not at Shaky
Yeah just saw that. Coachella seems pretty likely then. I don’t really care for Bleachers, but my wife loves him!

Ah I see. Eh I don’t see it as too much of a sign of concern.
I know we have a small sample size but RTTD seems geared towards EDM acts. I'd expect Justice or Pretty Lights off that mock (especially given their respective hiatuses) vs. LDR or DM
It’s hilarious how this forum thinks Pretty Lights is in anyway relevant enough to get a RTTD spot, too many memories from Late Night, Pretty Lights at Roo 10 years ago?
Unless Taylor asked to have her friends be put onto the poster. It at least solves the Lana headlining issue if she subbed Taylor for example and only in that scenario would she be ok with it.

Coachella is specifically a fest for the music industry and Jack has a ton of industry pull. He's pretty much the go to guy at this point to make pop hits. He's kinda like the white Pharrell.
Bc of this I think he would get booked pretty high at Coachella. I would guess maybe 3-5 on his day
Feels like a Jack Antonoff + Friends booking would be a 3-5, but seems like most side projects of famous people haven't gotten that kind of bump. And even Pharrell himself, coming off of the insane year of "Happy," "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" was #4 on his day in 2014.
Oh nvm. They have as a support. But they did The Forum though.
In other news if anyone had hope for Idles, theyre prob out. Theyve been putting their album title on the marquees of a bunch of venues and a tour announcement is coming soon. Hollywood Palladium has it.
Someone on Reddit noticed that when you search up LCD Soundsystem on stubhub, both Coachella weekends (and Roskilde) are listed. They have a new album coming at some point and other dates coming up in the Spring as well, wouldn’t be surprising to see them there.

Guns n roses also has coachella pop up. i wouldnt put any stock into that. i think its just glitching and the 2024 listing has coachella 2016 artists attached to it

Cache issue and its also kinda combining your recent searches and making it seem its for the same artist.
