No. They got replaced cause they didnt like being demoted to a non headliner. Goldenvoice paid them to get off the lineup. One of many tactical errors over the years by the fest. In the long run if Mcr was on there in 2020 they wouldve been ahead of the curve when it came to booking the genre to go with the comeback that followed in 2022 with When We Were Young and such. If it happened now it looks like theyre just copying what others have done. The core mcr fans dont even believe they were actually gonna do it cause they wouldnt "sell out" that way lol.

Mike Rutherford acknowledged that Collins's condition has deteriorated and he is now more motionless than before, which is a sad and regrettable situation. However, he reassured fans that during the tour, Collins was in good spirits and is currently enjoying his life at home.

So sad. 😔 Grateful I got to see him twice (once with Genesis at the Hollywood Bowl in 2007, and solo at the Forum in 2018 - I believe he was sitting for that one.) Bummed that final Genesis tour never made it out West...

Thoughts on Sam Smith playing this year. Their last album...mildly successful. The tour...had some issues. Has only guested with Disclosure at Coachella. On a few festival line ups in March. I am not saying Headliner material..sub...sure. I'd be there!

i think their time came and went. could see them performing as a guest for Kim Petras if she’s booked though
I feel Fontaines DC is in play for this. Gearing up for European festivals with likely new material on the way. Were scheduled to play the 2020 version. And coincidently enough, on a new split with Young Fathers who are likely to be playing too. No US dates announced makes me think they are waiting for Coachella to drop first. Fwiw, I haven’t checked if they have conflicting dates currently.
I honestly can’t believe we don’t have a single headliner confirmation this year.

Carti doesnt actually show up but nobody notices. Justin Bieber states afterwards its the best show hes ever seen. 17 casualties. Another successful year of Coachella
