I’m betting on Dua for 2025 instead of this year, so long as the follow up to Future Nostalgia is a moderate success. She seems in between eras right now and it’s been a minute since her last record, but who knows!

She has a new album set to release in April, so the Coachella appearance would be her live debut of the new era

Oh I had no idea, I know she released Houdini but wasn’t sure if that was a single from a forthcoming album. If that’s the case that makes more sense.
The Rolling Stones - Kylie Minogue Tyler, the Creator - Alicia Keys Dua Lipa - The Strokes
RTTD: Rufus Du Sol
First mention of Alicia keys I’ve seen in here. Definitely a name I’ve been hoping to see on the lineup. Also Rufus in the rttd slot would be perfect on Saturday after Tyler. These top lines are amazing, would love to see it. I could see Lana in that Kylie slot though for sure. I’m rooting for this prediction
Wanted to do some light number crunching since I've been feeling too like we're dry on rumors this year so I compared last year's artist tracker on Reddit to this year's. Interestingly, the numbers in each category were about the same (however, I excluded everything truevine said in the rumored section in 2023 for obvious reasons, which skewed the numbers slightly):
So while it feels like there haven't been that many substantial rumors, it doesn't appear that we had significantly more rumors/confirmations compared to last year. I honestly think a lot of the difference between this year and last year's mood was just that we knew that Frank Ocean was playing. Subjectively we may have felt more confident but of course a lot of the artists on the artist tracker last year were wrong, like a few will presumably be this year.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

I’d really like a RTTD be a bigger rock band. Would love to see Arctic Monkeys return and would be legit if the RStones rumors were true with a AM sub for their day

honestly, The Rolling Stones - Tyler, the Creator - Dua Lipa w/ RTTD: Arctic Monkeys

would be incredible
Tyler might play better with the Coachella crowd, but AM are probably bigger.
I don't think Alicia is an artist that would ever be on a Coachella line up in general. She's a headliner tier artist, Coachella likely would not book her to headline, both things can be true and a lot of artists fall into this category of "headline tier, but not for the Coachella crowd".
I wasn't implying that she's a Coachella headliner candidate, I was implying that it's disrespectful to have Tyler billed over her on any line up. As a Tyler fan, Alicia is a bigger artist than Tyler is. Tyler is 100% more relevant currently to a younger demographic for sure.

Just cauze you host the grammys doesnt make you a bigger artist.

Alicia Keys has won 15 Grammys
Career going on 23 years, Tyler's biggest songs don't even sniff the amount of sells or streams as Alicia's biggest songs. Album numbers are even more in favor of Alicia. I listen to Tyler more than Alicia personally, but come on let's not disrespect the legend.
First, Usher was a "poor choice for the Super Bowl" and now Alicia Keys isn't bigger than Tyler the Creator? Are y'all just not into 2000s R&B or something?

Just saw Khruangbin on this mock above, forgot about that, but have been told a few months ago they will be there. New album announcement mid January, will start the new cycle with Coachella, then Euro fests in the summer.

here it is, at long last. the theme here is "well, why the fuck not":
and as always for this time of the year, if any media outlets would like to get in touch with me on this, please note that I take no credit for this and all the credit goes to the hard working booking and graphic design teams at Goldenvoice.
