Here’s a fun question. Coachella made a run at Rihanna last year and supposedly it fell short because she got pregnant. Why not make the same run this year? Did she just want to do the Super Bowl and go back to hiding?

She had a whole tour lined up and was even going to do mini residencies like Harry Styles.

I think Lana/Tyler/Dua is an objectively weak set of headliners given the way this fest has been booked the last like 5 years - that’s a Lolla/ACL lineup. And I also think TME is right, they keep pulling out massive names like Harry Styles at the last minute, so something else might happen.
Tyler and Dua Lipa may be smaller but honestly id be ecstatic with them, two of my favorite bigger artists. Lana is fine as well but i do agree that it would be a much more interesting lineup if the stones were on there due to the rarity aspect

So we’re getting Kanye.
Could be a little bit of 2023 eyes though. Harry Styles looks a lot better in retrospect, but that headlining set was pre Harry’s House and the AOTY win at the Grammy’s.
Ariana Grande at the time did feel like a big get though and has aged well too. She’s a way bigger get than any of Lana, Tyler, or Dua.

If we do can Dua I’m really excited for what she will bring. I was at the future nostalgia tour and it was really fun. She definitely can put on a great show and is headline material.
Hoping Lana crowd has changed, saw her at Sasquatch in 2015 and the fans were feral.
No thoughts on Tyler I’ve seen him before and will probably skip that set.

Lana fans are even more feral now. Saw 2 shows this past Sept (both amazing shows) and it was crazy. But I liked it, Im an older dude and it was fun to watch. Kids just going nuts.
Think its gonna be a bit strange if Dua releases new record the week of Coachella, maybe a bit too early in that case for a Coachella headline set I was told mid spring this year that record is coming out within first 2 weeks of April 2024, but that might have changed.
