MGMT is one of the most boring shows I’ve ever seen.
Just here to say that MGMT on the Congratulations tour remains the worst concert I've attended in my life.
Maybe they have improved as a live act, but that show left such a sour taste in my mouth that I haven't been willing to find out, even at festivals.
That is so depressing to me because it's one of my all time favorite albums. But it doesn't really lend itself to a big live show either. Something about MGMT is more literary, more confined to headphones, listening alone in your room daydreaming about the coming heat death of the universe. I could see how it wouldn't be a great live show. Those nerds are so shy.
Has there been a lineup drop with no press scoop beforehand?
Yeah cause the internet wasnt the same now as way back when. I mean going back 20 years I remember for 2004 a friend of mine who worked at Kroq told me Radiohead and Pixies were gonna play Coach. It was about a month before lineup drop.
A diff decade cause the newspaper used to have its leaks and such before that. Kevin Bronson who was a local la music journalist got fired for posting too much info at one point.

Baile Funk would be a fun closer. In general for Sonora would love to see some of Jockstrap, Wednesday, the 502s, black country new road (please), Ratboys, Petey or CVC pop up in there.
