Just looking at the final posters we have had 1 RTTD (Calvin Harris), and 3 Co-Headliners (Kanye and The Strokes, Blur and Stone Roses, and RATM and Tool).
Semantics, SHM was an RTTD until Ye went crazy. Recent history is in favor of RTTD.
Not saying they will, but they certainly can headline. I mean, LCD Soundsystem & the Stone Roses did. You're delusional if you don't think the Rolling Stones are still relevant among all age groups too.

Coachella has been going downhill by booking sub-tier talent like Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, and artists like Frank Ocean who don't even show up. They need a REAL stadium-level act that's going to drive ticket sales and save the festival, which is why James Joyce makes perfect sense as a headliner.

Was only able to catch 30 minutes of OPN at Portola and it was my second favorite set behind Chem Bros. Please don't do him dirty with a 3pm Mojave set like Floating Points in 2017.

If the line up doesn't come out today, then this will be the latest *relative* line-up drop since 2013. The line-up came out on 1/12 in 2022, but that more or less equates to today in 2024, i.e., the second Wednesday of the new year.
