Who's bigger? Gorlliaz or Blur? I would think Gorlliaz since I never met a Blur fan irl but that's just an antidote
Also would Cure headline? I kinda think there prob at the same popularity as Bjork but idk
worldwide i think Blur are bigger but in the USA its Gorillaz. Blur headlined in 2013 and drew a tiny crowd, I doubt they'd play again.
Cure should headliner, and would probably refuse to play unless they did, but I couldn't see Coachella putting them anywhere but #2.
I agree that Cure should headline but Robert Smith seems like a pretty chill enough dude to not care of they are headline, as long as he gets a min 90 min set I think he'd be happy
Supre I’m pretty sure they’re saying GV won’t book Tyler as a Coachella headliner unless the album debuts at Coachella. As in Tyler plays CFG, then releases the album afterwards and plays Coachella. Nothing to do with competing promoters.
Well if Rolling Loud LA takes away 75% of any possible rappers from even being at the festival then what are their options anyway. They werent concerned with Travis having headlined Day n Vegas in 2019 to then having him headline 2020. So Tyler doing Flog Gnaw isnt totally going to remove him from contention since at this point its one show.
Dude you need to actually ready something before commenting your nonsense. Travis headlined Day N Vegas in 2019, but was going to debut the new album at Coachella. This is the exact situation this person was talking about as the only realistic way Tyler would play both CFG and Coachella.
Kendrick should get to headline this festival whenever he wants. Kind of embarrassing they didn't get him on this album cycle.
who do u replace with him from this year
BLACKPINK or Calvin Harris because I don’t like those.
I know the timing probably didn’t work great but I just don’t care about the exclusivity stuff with Kendrick at Coachella. He’s a generational LA artist, it should be like Arctic Monkeys playing Glasto every time they can or Widespread Panic closing Bonnaroo every year
Unless they’re a surprise performance, I don’t think arctic Monkeys will ever play Coachella again
Why specifically? They've shown surprisingly large continued live draw (three nights at the Forum this fall), which I didn't expect on the heels of their last couple of albums at a time when rock is less in vogue. I'd been thinking about checking out their Chase Center show, but now it's sold out and every ticket is $190+ after fees. Maybe they're not quite big enough to actually headline, but if Gorillaz can sub, they probably could (or RTTD).
I do think it'd make more sense to book them on a less avant garde album cycle, but again: those clearly aren't hurting their appeal.
By the time of 2024 Coachella, Arctic Monkeys will be at the end of their cycle on possibly their worst album.
They’ll be in the Gorillaz/Björk sub spot on their next cycle. They’ve might’ve even been offered one of those spots in 2023 and turned it down because they want to headline.

Arctic Monkeys would be a solid big sub or RTTD booking, but I'm not sure if they'll accept that billing.
I don't really see them headlining, but also if I type in coachella dot com right now, I see blink-182 on the top line of the poster so I guess anything is possible.
- Dua Lipa - Foo Fighters - Kendrick Lamar - Lana Del Rey - Madonna - Metallica - Odesza - Shakira - SZA - Taylor Swift - Tyler, The Creator - Rage Against The Machine - Rihanna
Idk about Metallica. Wouldn’t they be out due to PowerTrip?
Between power trip and desert trip theyve only had 3 acts ever headline coachella. So its pretty low chance Metallica would be in there for next year.
Tool, AC/DC, Roger Waters. Damn, now that you’ve pointed that out, Coachella could use a legacy act with this list of potential headliners. Feels like the strongest possibility is Rage, Tyler, Sza. Guess it’s still better than the last 2 years.

Actually i miscounted. Its 5. Tool, Ac/Dc, Waters, McCartney and GnR.

Weren't The Who, the Rolling Stones, and Black Sabbath all planned on at one point or another and fell through? Not saying Metallica will be there (I don't think they will) but I'm not sure pointing at DT and PT and saying "only three headlined" is very convincing.

Look up. And i forgot 2 of them that did headline. I honestly dont remember when The Who were in contention. It was all in the same time frame when Velvet Underground was also possible i bet.

2010. Supposedly they chose the Super Bowl over Coachella.
