Paul Tollett is once again in the spotlight as talk turns to Goldenvoice/AEG’s Coachella, the king of music festivals and a trending topic across the culture every single year. While the lineup hasn’t been officially announced yet, 2024’s headliners include Tyler, The Creator, Doja Cat and Lana Del Rey.
Tollett will follow Coachella’s two high-profile weekends with another star-studded desert gathering, Stagecoach, which continues to increase its influence and importance thanks to the growth in country and various roots forms. Paul has no problem feeling comfortable in the Indio sun, but we are undoubtedly the last kind of sand he wants in his shoes.
I think “include” is the key word here hinting that’s not all of the headliners. Think gives possibility to the idea Tyler, Doja, or Lana could all be RTTD with a headliner that’s not reported
Talking Heads haven't played a show together since 2002 and a full set since 1984. They're literally high up on the list for most wanted reunions with Oasis, The Smiths and Led Zeppelin. It'd be huge news that would extend well beyond Coachella.
Ew Smiths mentioned
Fr tho, are talking heads really up there with Oasis? I guess I just never realized how big they were
Even setting aside the music quality and cultural impact, it's not even close.
I've seen Oasis and it wasn't even a big deal. I've lived my entire teenage and adult life knowing I'll never get to see the Talking Heads. Maybe there's a 0.01% chance that one day that will change. But it's not today.

For how much buzz it would make? Definitely. Those four bands ALWAYS appear on "Most wanted reunions" lists. Talking Heads and Smiths still crack their most wanted bookings.
While Talking Heads was never too popular in their hayday, they got way, way more publicity later on.
Talking Heads are out, it was mentioned here a few times and even like 10 minutes ago.
But if they were booked it was be the biggest news booking since Beyoncé. They wouldn’t be a sub, regardless of how few people would actually show up to the set.
Just saw that ig post so figured they still might be in play.
Also dude you fr are dululu if you think Talking Heads would be the biggest news since Beyoncé. We have had some pretty big headliners and subs since then. I think all 3 from last year alone eclipses Talking Heads
