Taylor Swift fans are on tik tok showing you how to wear diapers to a 3 hour show plus 3 hour wait. I can’t imagine the diaper stock needed for a whole festival day
Rewinding a bit... Was it ever fully explained why, back in 2019, Taylor agreed to headlining a couple international fests but when it came to US dates she tried to create her own festivals that'd be held at SoFi/Gillette Stadiums? Of course COVID canceled all that but I'm wondering what the previous hurdles were that made her team look at US fests years ago and say "nah, we can just do that ourselves."
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

Because she was going to be the first artist that opened sofi stadium along with money. But she was def gonna hit the fest circuit in 2021. Why would AEG put together those shows if they didnt have future incentives coming later. Same with this tour.

wouldn't Taylor make way more money from her own tour than the set amount Coachella gives headliners? she's clearly good on the business-end after price gouging her fans and then directing the blame at ticketmaster
wouldn't Bad Bunny make way more money from his own tour than the set amount Coachella gives headliners? he's clearly good on the business-end after price gouging her fans and then directing the blame at ticketmaster

she wants the cultural aspect of headlining and dominating coachella. beyonce currently has the crown.. taylor wants it.

Because AEG likes money and producing Taylor Swift tours makes them lots of money?

This is the case for a couple of the megastars that have played Coachella (obvious example being Beyonce). The reason that I think she would play Coachella (and I think she will eventually though I wasn't/am not expecting 2024) is for the "prestige" and making an iconic career moment (even outside the festival bubble I see references to Beychella in music publications) as well as the general attention and coverage that headlining Coachella would bring (basically like Superbowl performances, which are unpaid IIRC). This is largely why I wouldn't expect her to do it in the midst of the Eras era, as the hype and press she'd garner would have significant diminishing returns on top of the enormous attention she has already from the tour alone. I would expect it to come either at the beginning of a new album/tour rollout, or at some point later in her career when she's finally chilled out from the constant stream of production and touring she's been doing for the past several years.

very fair... I tend to agree. Dua Lipa feels more realistic next year to me as 1/3 headliners

Well they did Beyonces tour after her Coachella set so this isnt any different. And wasnt this reasoning used for Bad Bunny not playing? Theyre gonna rake it in on merch. Maybe the regular merch line will be short for once.
So lets say Stagecoach doesnt announce their line up in a few months like theyre supposed to. Sus?
