So do the swifties go crazy if they dont give her 3 1/2 hours? Gotta cut an hour off for sure. Like the ones camping all day wont care its that long but everyone in the back is gonna peace out after hour 2 unless some guests keep popping up.

Why would they need to cut off an hour exactly? It’s not like she’d be the first act to play three hours.

who else has played three hours?
For some reason I had it in my head that AC/DC and GNR were 3, but I guess they were around 2:30 (as was Roger Waters). I did think that McCartney played 3 hours though, and The Cure tried to before getting cut off.
Either way, a bunch of acts have had 2:30 scheduled, and it'd be weird if there's some "nobody gets three hours" rule. I think they'd give her 3 if she wants 3, considering how expensive she'd be.

I guess my argument is, does everyone just want the regular show of the tour or something a bit different.

I think if she were ending the tour with Coachella or doing it as a one-off, it'd be a bit more natural for her to mix it up. If she plays next year though, she'll be right in the middle of the tour so mixing it up for just two shows seems odd. And I, at least, would be disappointed to get something other than the Eras show, which is essentially the absolute ideal of a setlist to me.

with how hot the eras tickets have been? I'd take the Eras setlist 10/10 times at a hypothetical Taychella show

Blackpink was in the middle of a tour when they did Coachella and they designed a new show for Coachella.

And there is enough time to do that. If this has been locked in for a year its probably being worked on and theyre figuring out the production and such. Thats the key here cause the songs will have been performed and rehearsed plenty. Just gotta sort the rest out. Oh, and the merch since thats gonna be a whole other damn mess. Maybe the regular lines will be much faster cause all the swifties want that stuff.
Even with the April gap and AEG promotion this still only has about a 10% chance of happening right? Right?
Having the hottest act on the planet is always gonna be 10% likely until it's 100% confirmed, I can already hear Paul Tollet on a secondary line to Dua Lipa being like "Yeah, I saw those rumors too, don't worry, of course you're headlining Saturday, I just can't sign the contract until a few months from now because.... of some other stuff"

We arguably haven’t seen an act with as rabid of a fan base as Taylor in a pretty long time. I really wonder what percentage of the crowd would be camping at the main all day?
It could really create a nice opportunity to get close at the other stages. Really hope GV wouldn’t give her an unopposed set.
Taylor Swift (or Rihanna) Shakira (or Dua Lipa) Olivia Rodrigo
RTTD: Madonna Featuring: Sia
Taylor Swift Shakira final answer
EXCUSE ME I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🤦♂️lol I can’t wait to see many of you on the Polo Fields next year… hehehe, RTTD 2024! the connections and timings are all too obvious … life is too short and world becoming so wild & unpredictable for all of them… you all survived the endless speculations and discussions of RATM headlining return for the nth time, you should have been used to with this new Coachella- as they (GV/PT/AEG) will keep aiming or try to grab the holy grail asap or at this point in time mother of all headliners for that ultimate festival bragging rights… tee-hee
Olivia Rodrigo
Taylor Swift Bon Iver The 1975 (until I googled something so scratch that lol - google also leading me to believe/speculate hehehe that OR and Shakira would make sense to TS too to make it an all women headliners for the 25th year anniversary)
Shakira
RTTD/Featuring: Madonna/Sia
At least for W1, I don’t care pretty much who will headline or who will be at the lineup. This will be the first time I will try to avoid the lineup reveal or not do any research. I will just go in 2024.
W1 & W2: Already booked my preferred hotel and flying into PSP via my preferred airline that I can cancel or change at anytime for free using frequent flyer miles or points.
W1: I was at Montreal for the Formula One already last Friday so I was a few hours late but managed to grab GA+shuttle+tent camping passes on installment plan. I DO ME and always try to do something different on kind of a small to decent budget for each of my Coachella experience as I cannot imagine a Coachella without camping. So depending on weather, FOMO situations and my body’s condition each night, I will try to experience them all hotel+shuttle+camping on the same weekend.Might as well waste my hard earned money this way than buying VIP or more ridiculous additional fees or on any of their “hotel package”
W2: TBD or more likely will do this thru Amex sale

Lets say they gave her 3 hours. Theres no way after how it went with Frank that they want to keep almost everywhere else silent. At the very least the Mojave has a closing act. Maybe even have somebody in there who has a longer set. Aphex Twin had 90 mins in 2019. So put him in there again and let him do his thing. If it was possible to even have Sonora still running that late just for that day they should do it. Or at least have it end like halfway through her set. I mean part of it is crowd control. They do want stages to just be done and over with so that you leave that part of the fest and they can get to clean up and such. But still, you really will need counter programming for Taylor regardless. Mojave, Do Lab, Sahara and Yuma is enough.

I don't think Frank is going to effect how they schedule more reliable artists. Someone as big as Taylor, without a history of being late or canceling or putting out lazy performance? Wouldn't doubt every other stage is silent for her set.

I swear to God if you speak THIS SPECIFIC CONFLICT into existence...

lol there's zero chance they'd book Aphex Twin only to stick him up against Taylor. Last time they had him it was on arguably the lightest headliner day and he still didn't conflict with Tame Impala. Don't fret that conflict just because supre suggested it. If anyone conflicts with Taylor it'll be smaller niche acts, like they did with X Japan in 2018.
The better question is how do they book the lead up on the main stage to a Taylor headlining set, considering how poorly Tyler and Haim fared pre-Beyonce.

Gotta remember that Beyonce was announced a year in advance, which changed the whole makeup of the audience. Someone like Paramore would fare very well before Taylor. Even Bon Iver would likely do well. She has a long list of friendly artists that her fans would support IMO.

I think it'd be pretty easy to accommodate Taylor fans. Anything pop, folk, country would suffice. Lana? Kacey Musgraves? Paramore? Olivia Rodrigo? Sam Smith? Morgan?
Whereas Tyler (especially pre-Igor) would come off pretty jarring to the average Beyonce fan. HAIM wasn't really big enough to sub yet in general, and their sound didn't mesh with leading into Beyonce at all. SZA into Beyonce would've been better than SZA into Weeknd.

Bon Iver or The National could do it too, maybe Ice Spice since they have a song together if she keeps blowing up.
Or if we were to go more outside the box, Stevie Nicks would be a great sub for Taylor.
