I dont. What rap artist of his style has even played the main stage?
If he plays it feels like the Sahara or even closing the outdoor
Wasn't Uzi going to be 3rd on their day in 2020?.. So, they were already Mainstage bound?
With how dangerous the crowd size in the Sahara was for blink and Metro this year, It would be real dumb of them to try and put Uzi in the Sahara.. Outdoor closer I can get behind, but I'm pretty sure Uzi was already playing main in 2020
So when Cudi was in there and Kanye was guaranteed to show up it was fine? And yeah, theres always one shitshow in the sahara almost every year.

Also, do you consider Future and/or Lil Baby to be close enough in style to Uzi? Because they were top 3 on their day Main
Not at all, Future is sleepy af and Lil Baby isn't nearly as aggressive as Uzi or Carti. Has there ever been a truly rowdy set on the main stage in recent years? They've seemed to shy away from those artists playing main. I know Rancid played a few years back but 20yrs past their prime popularity, who was the last artist to have legit pits at main?

Uzi will be the first

If we count the 2020 lineup there was gonna be at least 2
Cudi *requested* the Sahara and was originally scheduled to be on Main. Has anyone else ever been top 3 on their day and not played Outside?
Either way that shiz is a safety hazard and they need to stop putting artist that big in the Sahara
The old Sahara tent was a bigger safety hazard then how it is now. Do You mean Outdoor or not a tent? Skrillex 2014, Madonna 2006, Kraftwerk 2004 all 3rd billed and in a tent.

Rage in 2007. They specifically cleared the main stage field so there was room.
Run The Jewels when they did main in 2016 had a pit. DFA 1979 in 2011 had a pit. Unlocking The Truth did too.
Dude just headlined Rolling Loud Cali over Uzi. He's bigger now.
Uzi just put out their album lmao. At this moment Uzi is more relevant
Not bigger.
And FYI, the Coachella lineup comes out next year, not today. People always act like whoever dropped an album this week will be at the top of the lineup. Y'all will probably start saying Blur and Post Malone will be playing in the next few weeks once their albums drop.

I think either could sub, but I do wonder if - given sales seemed great this year - they continue to relatively minimize rap on that scale. Second lines, but not top-3 unless it’s massive like Bunny or hybrid like Gorillaz. Especially if the headliners end up Rage/Taylor/Dua.
I think Balvin is more likely than either, and I’d put Carti over Uzi, but Uzi playing the forum can’t be discounted.

I'd be surprised if they booked J Balvin again for next year. Feels like his last two albums failed to carry his momentum and if anything, the last notable thing he did might have been his McDonald's meal. Not saying he isn't still popular but names like Karol G (again), Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro and others make a lot more sense than someone like J Balvin who's been kinda stagnant. Also, I look at the Top 50 Latin Albums on Billboard and I think it's kinda telling none of his solo albums are on it, even though there are other albums that are years old still up there (Oasis is on there but that's probably because of Bad Bunny).
Yeah I feel like carti and Uzi are pretty similar size and Coachella would happily book either of them if they can convince them to skip Rolling Loud
Itll be funny if RL La next year has Ice Spice headlining cause it was the only way to get her to not play Coachella. And its clear that their audience doesnt give 2 fucks if the lineup is the same and if the artists do the same same too.

Agree those names make more sense but feels like Karol might be too big to sub, and the other two might not be quite big enough? I could be wrong though.

"I will never be touring again but I may do something in the future, a one-off thing or... but that's miles away," John reveals, suggesting that this will not be his last-ever live performance, but rather the last show as part of an official tour.
"I want to appreciate my family, my sons, my husband, my family, everything," he says of his immediate plans away from music, noting, "I've earned it and I don't regret it tonight. But I want to say thank you to the band, the crew, everybody."
"I will miss you guys so much, but I will see you much quicker than you think,"

Yeah, but odds are the easiest thing for elton to do is to announce a benefit show for his foundation and raise money for a good cause.
