Is there any reason to believe that Post Malone playing stagecoach wasn't done in a combo deal with him headlining Coachella
If that was the case he wouldve been headlining Stagecoach outright. Taylor Swift is the one you do it with cause thatll sell out Stagecoach in no time. Post cant do that.

Is there any artist doing a set of only covers would headline any large fest?
If The Weeknd decided to do a tour of playing only Michael Jackson songs do you think fests would still book that as a top 3 headliner?

They couldve just headlined him and left the covers thing by the wayside and had it as a mystery. But they wanna make sure peoples expectations arent set a certain way.
Zach Bryan as a headliner would be a pretty unexpected move considering their history, though Coachella seems to surprise us every year. BLACKPINK headlining would've been just as unexpected around this time last year even when they've already performed so perhaps. Not sure if it's any crazier than having Jack Johnson headline in 2008.
My gut says sub or RTTD-type billing but I'd be down for a headliner billing for him.
Based on the salt levels on Reddit, I’m fully open and convinced he’s headlining
Is it normal for Stagecoach to book this many not country acts?
Depends on the year but its not that weird. Nobody really pays them any mind cause its Stagecoach and not Coachella. It was all laid out back in May by the person who books the fest. Read the whole thing and youll get some more insight.
"Baltin: Who's the dream artist now to bring into Stagecoach that hasn't done it? And wait, are we now going to start to see old country artists do Just Like Heaven?
Vee: I think a dream non-country artist to bring into Stagecoach would be Post Malone. I think he wears the suits, he wears those nudie suits and he's from Texas and he covers Sturgill Simpson songs. And I see him on his own entering into the space a lot organically and I know he'd love it. So I think that would be a dream artist for me to have at Stagecoach to do something fun. "
We're gonna get into the whole financial thing again? What somebody makes on tour isnt the same as a festival paycheck. How was Bad Bunny "too expensive" when he was pulling in $15 mil a show on his stadium leg last year.
I recall people saying GV wouldn’t touch Morgan Wallen lol
Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll and Zach Bryan will not headline Coachella because they’re so disappointed at the moment and they can play at Stagecoach instead.
Zach Bryan would bring in an incremental audience to Coachella who wouldn't normally attend while also booking someone with a #1 album, stadium tour, good live chops and maybe hitting the peak of their stardom who might have been so blown away by the offer in July / August he took a below market headlining deal
Guts by Olivia Rodrigo came out, would be shocked if they didn't book her for 2024. Though, I don't see her headlining yet. Probably a sub, maybe 3rd? But probably a sub. I'm really enjoying the album so far.
