Tyler (and Dua) on paper always made the most sense. Tyler only dropping his deluxe album this year, instead of a new album, breaking his every other year pattern of his whole caree.. seemed like he was holding back his new album for a reason. Still, he dropped 7 new songs to have new material to perform for his Flog Gnaw audience.
There's a big pool of possible HLs but Dua and Tyler looked the most realistic.
Also, pardon me if I'm mistaken, hasn't Coachella booked multiple artists in the past 2 years who didn't meet the "radius clause"? Seems like they've been less strict on that

I mean the whole deal is that theyve just been using the last minute add on the schedule to dance around the radius since the festival happens within a few days and that cannot really alter the sales of a tour in a negative way. LN prob is ok with allowing it cause like the Blink tour was sold out. Olivia will def be sold out so if they wanna do it then by all means.
Not that this is a surprise but from the sound of how that Talking Heads Q&A went, any reunion still seems off the table.
I saw some comments I think on Reddit about it being awkward, but both the NYMag and WaPo write-ups I saw made it sound pretty joyful for the most part? Curious to see how the PT Anderson Q&A goes with them, if they’re a bit looser or not.
I did not see a mention of them being asked about reunion shows, which is either moderator malpractice on the part of Spike or something they contractually mandated as part of this.

The questions were submitted online and vetted by the organizers so nothing like that was going to get through.
Did you miss the Palm Springs date that opens the tour? She's not playing
Did you miss the so cal dates Blink had announced? And Palm Springs is at the smallest arena on the tour btw. If they wanna add her when the schedule drops they can, so thats the new normal for now.

anyone hear anything about an expansion this year? just wondering if we're due. they might as well expand into half of lot 8 since it's all reserved for preferred.

I’m pretty sure she’s in but it just shows how silly festival prediction is.
None of us will know until January but we will spend the next 3.5 months arguing when if you’re an Olivia fan you should just buy the august LA tickets and if you’re not just wait and see if you can catch her here 😂

Can’t really compare replacements to booker acts.
But she doesn’t have a LA date and if she didn’t have the Palm Springs date and just had Coachella she would have returned to LA in august. So nothing is really changed except a girl from the IE desert got big and starting her tour at a new venue an hour from where she grew up for her biggest career moment yet.
If this was anyone else like Dua Lipa then I would be weary but it just makes too much sense
