Drop Nineteens pushed back their reunion tour to spring with with an April LA date at the Belasco (Goldenvoice venue). They also specifically announced an undisclosed festival appearance. Smells like Coachella to me.

you didnt check the calendar. "But planes" working overtime with having to fly back from Ny saturday night to make it to Sunday of W2 and thats after having to fly to the east coast after weekend 1. Theyre probably playing Tree Fort. And the Belasco is Live Nation through and through. The Mayan next door is Goldenvoice.
Major "everyone we wanted said no" and "Usher called in the favor Jay-Z owed him" vibes.
Terrible take lmao. Everyone knew this was an a slam dunk. His residency is the hottest thing in Vegas. So to have him do his hits in Vegas was an easy decision.

calling Usher headlining the super bowl a slam dunk feels like a wild take

Soulwax teasing an announcement for tomorrow. I’m guessing tour or album announcement.
I’m sure some of you are probably already aware of this act, but I caught a French artist named Dombrance last night. He seems like the perfect early afternoon Gobi artist for this festival. He had a ton of energy and was a lot of fun. Check him out!
Last week's news about Sufjan Stevens having Guillain-Barre Syndrome is so sad. Beyond the much more important reasons of his health and well-being, I was hoping he'd play this year since he's got the new record coming out.
Anyone who thinks Usher isn't a slam dunk, clearly did not grow up on R&B lol, the biggest R&B artist of all time. It's well deserved. He should have been booked in his prime, but he's still very relevant.
Outside of Rihanna, and Weeknd, and somewhat Maroon 5 (debatable if they were still in their prime)? Jay has been booking artists who are "past their prime" but are cemented legends (Shakira and J Lo, Dre and Snoop, Usher). I'm definitely here for it. Similar to Coachella, lots of demographics were skipped over for the Super Bowl. Would people be whining if he booked [insert old past their prime legacy band]? I notice that label never applies to those types of acts
