Can’t say enough about some of the local Austin bands for the out of towners. Annabelle Chairlegs, Die Spitz, Rickshaw Billie, Nolan Potter, money chicha. All great but I can’t help it I see Annabelle Chairlegs every hotel vegas show they have
the Well are good too, they opened for fuzz (?) in 21
gio chamba is a big guy in the Houston scene, he's cool
agreed on the well. dont know gio chamba but Ill for sure check him out. thanks
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Last time high on fire played austin was sxsw at hotel vegas on the afternoon when shit else was going on and there was tons of room. So many of these shows are going to be undersold
Just noticed their show is at Stubbs. That seems really ambitious even with Uncle Acid.
really liked the way they did the adds, each showcase feels more full and more bang for buck. really like adding dj shadow to that bbng armand hammer show, first thought when I saw his name was concourse like fly lo or OPN but that's a great spot to put him.
Quite possibly one of the best sets I've ever seen. Did not expect it to be as good as it was. But I'm also a huge fan so there's heavy bias.
My friend who went shared the same sentiment. Said one of the best shows he’s seen this year and that the sound was amazing and loud. Reminded him of a Sunn O))) show.

Coincidentally I was planning on catching Sunn O))) later this month as well. I'll see how it sizes up, my body was vibrating for parts of OPN and it felt amazing.

Excellent to hear, I'll be at the NYC show in April so it's great to know that it's a damn good show

Now just waiting for the Levitation crew to announce the APF lineup for this spring to hold me off until the DD24 hype (or disappointment) starts up.
Hoping the lineup is a bit better than last years, though I get it's not entirely a huge event. Slowdive didn't have any Texas dates for their current tour so hoping that's at least one that makes it.
Any rumors on who they're announcing for APF this week?
PPC were confirmed a while back (though admittedly I find myself never been able to get into them)
I saw a response from the Lev team that they tried to book slowdive and lost to the sick new world fest in vegas, the austin show eventually got booked to may.
Aside from that no idea on my end, I've been trying to track any relevant tours pointing towards that weekend but haven't come up with much admittedly.
Edit: They announced lineup tomorrow just now lol, going off the track id I take it levitation room are playing
I like that lineup well enough to go, but it seems light compared to last year.
I don't know anyone after the top line Sunday
You’d like Dehd, I think. Super fun show. Still Corners is sleepy Indie Popish stuff from the UK and decent as well. Blondshell is awesome. I saw her twice this summer and can’t stop listening to her album.

Great lineup overall. Hope you folk have fun.
LOL that didn't register as DEHD for me. I've also seen still corners before. Just woke up. You're not the first person to suggest blondshell in the last few weeks. Sounds like we're going to have a good time.
Anyone know if that's African Witch, or king tuff/J Mascis WITCH?

Austin chronicle article says it’s the Mascis WITCH. Every witch band ever on that Saturday. I’m super pumped for earthless though!

Might be a mistake on their end regarding the Mascis witch. The other witch band is tagged on the ig post
This is a really great lineup. The venue looks awesome as well. Already have plans for this weekend next year but will definitely be keeping this fest in mind going forward.
