I don't see them bringing Foos back this soon. Paramore feels a little unlikely, but I could also see it. They're playing some fests in the spring, and they also love playing in Atlanta.

I know it’s highly unlikely But Metallica, Paramore, and Gorillaz would make me try and figure out a way to get to my first Shaky Knees even 2/3 with Noah Kahan and a solid undercard would potentially get me there mainly Metallica.
My dumb ass just remembered that Paramore and Vampire Weekend share a member (Brian Robert Jones). Damn it. If Paramore are in, then VW would be out, unless they had someone else to fill in for tour

Jack Bates is in both Smashing Pumpkins and Peter Hook and the Light. Both are touring around the same time next year. He’s just going to go back and forth between gigs of each band.

Friday - Boygenius, Phoenix, and Vampire Weekend Saturday - Slipknot, Weezer, and Portugal. The Man Sunday - Noah Kahan, Young the Giant, and MGMT
My best case scenario:
Friday - Metallica, QOTSA, and Interpol Saturday - Depeche Mode, Blur, and The Smile Sunday - Lana Del Rey, Danny Elfman, and Andre 3000
My overall prediction:

I don’t see any reason why foo’s would play shaky again. They just played and then turned around and did bonnaroo, and with such an overlap of markets or whatever I don’t see why anyone would think they’d sell tickets. It doesn’t even seem like it would be worth it for the foos
Agreed. It doesn't make sense. That's why I think the Post Malone/Pepps Roo idea is bogus. They just played. I can't even believe we're talking about it.
Separately, Arctic Monkeys are one of the most disappointing bands I've ever seen live. I really don't understand why people stump for them if they've seen them. Maybe I just caught a bad show, but I was ready to have fun and ended up sitting down about half way through the set, then spent the rest of the set looking around, and at the sky, and then looking at other people looking around.

Reddit takes on Kahan potentially headlining are predictably unhinged, from “flash in the pan folk rock “star”” to “medicore folk at best, Phoebe singing about smelly cat at worst” to a user suggesting he might headline because he’s Jewish and that’s trendy rn. All different users btw, not just one person out for blood.

I still kinda don’t think he would headline anyway, but honestly, people should lighten up. He seems like a good dude with some genuine talent and I don’t think he really deserves to be treated that poorly. Even if he does end up headlining, I’ll give him a shot.

Well, if someone like Metallica is in the picture, then I can almost definitely see Noah headlining because at that point, him and maybe Paramore are probably about all that the budget would be able to manage with what’s left. People would complain, whatever, that’s fine. I personally don’t hate that top line prospect so much, even if it could be more exciting. It’s acceptable.

Yea, I’d rather see bands that I actually listen to. I’m totally fine with having a headliner that I’m not interested in though, like especially on Sun., so we can get home earlier.

Yea if we are adding Paramore to a top line with Noah Kahan that's the old two strikes and I'm out. I'd give Paramore a chance (never seen live), but if I'm starting out with someone I'm meh on and then a wildcard that's not getting me there.
