Yea if we are adding Paramore to a top line with Noah Kahan that's the old two strikes and I'm out. I'd give Paramore a chance (never seen live), but if I'm starting out with someone I'm meh on and then a wildcard that's not getting me there.
This is not an airport, no need to announce your departure

I will take The Strokes headlining two days over Boygenius and Noah Kahan Being 2 of the 3 headliners we get. And I name The Strokes after the hate they got after their 2021 show.

if noah kahan is what gets a sell out for shaky im cool with that. by far the best city fest i’ve ever been to and would love for it to stay around as long as possible.

I will take Billy Strings giving me an enema each night over watching The Strokes

I'd be cool if he was a 4th headliner but honestly I listened to him and made it through 3 songs. I don't think he's a good fit for SK but they had The Lumineers last year so what the quack do I know
My dumb ass just remembered that Paramore and Vampire Weekend share a member (Brian Robert Jones). Damn it. If Paramore are in, then VW would be out, unless they had someone else to fill in for tour
Jack Bates is in both Smashing Pumpkins and Peter Hook and the Light. Both are touring around the same time next year. He’s just going to go back and forth between gigs of each band.
Worth noting that Jack Bates is Peter Hook's son so they probably create their tour dates to accommodate his SP gig
I’m just ready for the lineup. The internal struggle with lineups ranging from something like Metallica/QOTSA/Depeche Mode to Lana Del Ray/boygenius/Noah Kahan needs to come to an end.

I’m with you on that. I always find that once I start sinking my teeth into the full lineup, I can usually forget about whatever headliner I’m not interested in.

True enough
Just realized that there’s no way Vampire Weekend is at Kilby now since that’s exactly when Paramore is in Europe

dude one band would just find a different fill in. Are you thinking that both bands will never tour at the same time again because they have hired the same uncredited touring guitarist a few times?

Any SK alum here that have also done Boston Calling? What's the vibe like, how does it compare to SK? I know they often have some lineup overlap but we will most likely be in the northeast next May and are seriously considering it.

I live an hour from Boston and have only gone once. Younger crowd..and just don't love it as much as shaky

Went to both in 2019. Shaky > BC, at least back then. BC is fine, but the Shaky setup felt better, and I enjoyed the vibe more overall.
