the one (1) time I’ve seen the black keys was in 2013 at an amphitheater and we got lawn seating and while they were playing a dude came up to my bff and i and said “heyyyyyyyy you guys know how to party?” with a joint in his hand and we just went “uhhh nope, we don’t! we’re good!” and he went on his merry way and then on the way home we were crammed in a minivan with the five other people we carpooled with and my bff and i sat at the very back and we stopped at the cookout drive-thru to get food and the fella sitting in the middle row dropped his burger and it fell on my friend’s bare foot and he didn’t notice and promptly picked it up and continued eating it and didn’t say anything so every time I think about the black keys I think about the stoned dude who wanted to party with us and also think about the dude who carpooled with us to the show and ate a foot burger
This is a good summary for any Black Keys show really. Everything other than the show is what you will remember.

I can’t imagine doing a show right before starting an international tour is ideal but they’ve got plenty of time to get there especially coming out of the worlds busiest airport.

Yeah, maybe. I guess I’m just skeptical. That set of headliners would be very underwhelming. I just don’t see Tim being that lazy booking-wise.

there are very few rock bands big enough to headline that younger crowds actually care about. RHCP Paramore AM and Tame might be it. And if you try to appeal to older crowds, there aren’t many that aren’t super expensive.
honestly for me it was LCD - Phoenix - The XX. This years lineup was the biggest acts they have had yet tho, so that could be viewed as “the best” in terms of group of headliners.
