I think he means our biggest this year is Foos and they are a repeat. I wouldn’t hope for someone as big as Radiohead when we have even had a RHCP, Pearl Jam or Metallica headline yet.

Lineup is decent enough for me to travel for since my job gives massive discounts for travel and lodging. If I can’t convince my girlfriend to go to Bilbao and the heavens don’t bring us a Talking Heads reunion then this is the perfect lineup for us. She really likes Kevin Morby, Arcade Fire is our favorite live act, and I’m a childhood Weezer fanatic who has seen countless shitty shows put on by them. The last 2 tours they’ve actually put effort into and they sounded great. Hearing them do Only In Dreams and tracks from Songs From the Black Hole that were shelved for 20 years is really cool for me. Outside of Noah Kahan and Foo Fighters, I like enough of the lineup. I don’t get the top bookings at all but I’m old. Other than Saturday with Weezer and QOTSA that means I get to go bed early or hit a bar in town.
Just comparing to last year there’s 2 less bands on Fri. Sat. and Sun are the same as last year.
I think there will be a Grouplove equivalent add
The Killers- Noah Kahan GVF- AF YYY- YTG Cypress Hill- Interpol Manchester Orchestra- Revivalists Grouplove-? Placebo- Yves Tumor
you have no idea how much I'd prefer Saturday or Sunday having an empty slot.
First names that are/will tour are Bleachers and MGMT. If Coachella also got them then we'll have to wait on Coachella. I'd say IDLES, but if it's a Grouplove equivalent add then I doubt it.

Idles would be an absolute dream come true (haven't missed a set they've played in Atlanta), way less in on Bleachers or MGMT but the latter could be fun if they actually play some Oracular Spectacular.
So 2018 was only my second year of going to fests. I was 23. I went to Forecastle alone. The first 2 days were fine but I was feeling pretty damn lonely by day 3. I decided I would stop trying to find people to hang out with and just do my own thing. White Reaper played early in the day and I moshed hard. It was great. Towards the end of the set I got too hot and went to the edge of the crowd to set my stuff down & dance. I met a few people at the edge of the crowd, and while we really hit it off, we all went our separate ways when the set ended.
Later that night, Arcade Fire was beginning. I went up as far as I could and made it to the VIP barricade. Everything now began. I was ecstatic. I couldn't stand still. But everyone around me was statuesque. So I was like, I gotta get out of here. As I made my way out of the crowd, I dealt with some real assholes. One guy literally said "you're not coming this way." Ok buddy, I'm just trying to get out, but whatever.
When I finally made it to the back, there were my friends I had met earlier, all their belongings in a pile. I added mine, including my shoes, and for the rest of the night I ran around like a crazy person and danced barefoot. It was one of the best nights of my life.
These days I dance really hard at shows and usually look for a spot where I'll have plenty of room. Music is the best.

Well, good news or bad news depending on how you look at it:

I know tastes will vary but as also an old guy I'm kind of surprised you're pumped for Weezer and QOTSA but looking to go to bed early instead of seeing Foo Fighters.
Regarding Weezer, I'm still holding out hope for a Blue album set with some hits outside of Blue to kick off the set. I think they could pull this off if they get a full 1.5 hour set.
Where do you guys think Pigs will most likely end up? Ponce or Criminal Minds? After listening to them I was leaning more Ponce as it reminded me of kind of a Shame meets Rickshaw and those sets were so much fun over there.

Ponce would make most sense for possible size of crowd but I'd prefer Criminal bc it's the least dusty stage at SK and I like to be able breathe

Whelp, looks like I’m headed to my first Shaky Knees. Been trying to go for years. Finally looks like I’ll head out with my girl in tow. Looking forward to it.

saw weezer this summer and it was primarily 90s stuff including some b sides which was fun.

I’ve seen the Foo Fighters before and I enjoyed their earlier stuff through middle school, but It just doesn’t do a whole lot for me now. As far as a Weezer set, I guess a Blue set could happen since 2024 will mark its 30th anniversary but I’m expecting a greatest hits set with some old B-sides and a cover or two. They seem pretty pumped to play stuff like You Gave Your Love To Me Softly, Blast Off and I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams.
