Decided I'm doing Friday only for the first time ever, but extremely excited about the Friday lineup even if I'm not a big Noah Kahan-head. The combo of Arcade Fire, Interpol, ATW, Del Water Gap, Pond, and all the undercards that I'm becoming very fond of very quickly (Ax and the Hatchetmen and Wine Lips sound like a blast, digging Odie Leigh quite a bit) is way too good to miss.

I was re-working my clashfinder from the past couple years with these artists and got pissed off on Sunday when I realized that at least one Dino Jr, Waxahatchee or Men I trust is gonna get stuck on the main stage at 3-4 pm. Worst set time of the day by far. Wax's music is probably the most conducive to that but I just never enjoy a set at that time.
The Psychedelic Porn Crumpets vs Interpol conflict is brutal for me - I'd probably go to Interpol and hope PPC does a late night show (or other way around if Interpol does a late show). Yves Tumor and Young the Giant would also be hard, but there's like no other major conflict for me. Hoping the real lineup looks something like this.
going to chime in here for a moment: I have never listened to a minute of their original music but Ax and the Hatchetmen are a perfectly enjoyable local Chicago band. unfortunately the last time I saw them live they did a played-straight cover of The Strokes' "Last Nite" that made me feel approximately 8 million years old.
I'm more referencing the amount of space they have over there. They could drop a bigger stageline over there. DBlood, help me remember when they had dual headliners in the past.
I can't speak for other years but: clashfinder.com/m/shakyknees2019/?user=105jtv.yn 2019 booked both Incubus and Beck. Incubus was before Beck with an hour to spare in-between (where you could go to Tears for Fears or Yellow Days)
*IF* it's like that, here's my guess: Peachtree: Queens of the Stone Age / Criminal Records: Royal Blood Piedmont: The Offspring / Ponce de Leon: Sunny Day Real Estate Peachtree: Weezer
Which man, I'd rather a 90 minute QotSA (one of my favorite bands, haha) set than Weezer. Ah well.
Putting QOTSA and Royal Blood on at the same time should be a felony

Gonna be honest - I'm not familiar with Royal Blood so it was a stab in the dark lol.
Also just saw the other clashfinder. Definitely more conflicts for me here. Friday - PPC/Interpol and Arcade Fire/Pond. I'd still probably do Interpol and AF. Sunday - Portugal. The Man and Dinosaur Jr. Overall I could live with it.

Royal Blood and QOTSA have a lot of overlap. Pretty much every fan of the former is going to want to see the latter.

my interest has piqued
will be the first band I listen to once I get through Friday's bands
I was there!!! One of the most euphoric moments of my life. Literally changed how I do concerts
Would you share this story?
Hello inforoo & goodmorning.
So 2018 was only my second year of going to fests. I was 23. I went to Forecastle alone. The first 2 days were fine but I was feeling pretty damn lonely by day 3. I decided I would stop trying to find people to hang out with and just do my own thing. White Reaper played early in the day and I moshed hard. It was great. Towards the end of the set I got too hot and went to the edge of the crowd to set my stuff down & dance. I met a few people at the edge of the crowd, and while we really hit it off, we all went our separate ways when the set ended.
Later that night, Arcade Fire was beginning. I went up as far as I could and made it to the VIP barricade. Everything now began. I was ecstatic. I couldn't stand still. But everyone around me was statuesque. So I was like, I gotta get out of here. As I made my way out of the crowd, I dealt with some real assholes. One guy literally said "you're not coming this way." Ok buddy, I'm just trying to get out, but whatever.
When I finally made it to the back, there were my friends I had met earlier, all their belongings in a pile. I added mine, including my shoes, and for the rest of the night I ran around like a crazy person and danced barefoot. It was one of the best nights of my life.
These days I dance really hard at shows and usually look for a spot where I'll have plenty of room. Music is the best.
I think he means our biggest this year is Foos and they are a repeat. I wouldn’t hope for someone as big as Radiohead when we have even had a RHCP, Pearl Jam or Metallica headline yet.
