Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Jon Batiste has an artist page if you type his name in. Sadly, ANOHNI does not (sorry, neither does Khanate)
Honestly, Khantate is a pipe dream and I get that. Big Ears seem to have a great relationship with Stephen and was hoping it would carry over. Sadly, I can't think of any other US festivals they may play outside of Northwest Terror Fest or Oblivion Access.
Like I said, didn't even know that I could hope for them till last week.

Adds up on the web lineup. Edited after going through original poster: Jon Batiste Bonnie "Prince" Billy Medeski/Russo/Ribot Laraaji and Suphala Joe Russo's Selcouth Quartet Min Xiao-Fin with River Guerguerian Slauson Malone 1 Evan Lurie Francesco Turrisi Jana Horn Ka Baird Kristin Hersh Leyla McCalla Matt Mitchell Paul Lazar: Cage Shuffle
Excited for these! Always thrilled to see BPB and I've never caught Laraaji. Medeski/Russo/Ribot is gonna go hard.
Farewell to the great Carla Bley. Way up on the list of "I never would've seen them if not for Big Ears"
I really regret not seeing her performances at Big Ears. Conflicts, of course.
My introduction to her music was via Pink Floyd. Nick Mason made a very "under the radar" solo album in 1981 called "Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports." Although it's not credited as such... it's basically a wonderfully weird Bley album.
Its in your back yard. You have no excuse not to go!
well going for free is one thing- I just wasnt sold on a ticket yet. pretty much everything i went to for the past 2 yrs was free venues.
Last year you could find me making a line from Pilot Light to the Standard with Boyd's and the Performing Arts Center and Jackson Terminal in between. I also spent a ton of time at the free shows at Jackson (there wasn't much I was interested at the Railway parties). I felt like I had wasted money when I realized I would have never saw Liturgy or billy woods or Bill Orcutt Gutiar Quartet without a wristband.
It's different year to year (obviously) but I personally don't feel like you'll the waste money. While a few are unique sets, most are just conflict busters to the schedule if there is somewhere else you need to be.
Besides, who's gonna pick me up from a wet puddle after me loosing my shit to Unwound.
The Messthetics page on Big Ears has updated to James Brandon Lewis as well
Not gonna be surprised if they do two sets but either way, that's awesome.
I went on and got a 2 day ticket and one to the Impulse showcase. Pretty sold on the Pharoah tribute and was hoping to see the Sakamoto tribute but it's too late in the week. Guess I'm getting that add-on for Big Ears after all.
