Oh I missed there were actual dates associated with this! All west coast and ending in early March and she explicitly calls it the "first leg"... I see the vision

It's odd she dropped those after that announcement but still thinking there's a reason for hope.

Caught Claire Rousay last night and she was breathtaking. Vulnerable and brave set of music that included a creative moment so simple but jarring that I'm not really sure how to put it into words. Can't decide whether to go for a repeat at Big Ears or just let that energy stand. After the show she said she's assembling a full band for Big Ears.
Another band with a new release for my additions wishlist:
I saw them a few years ago at Northside (the Brooklyn one) and was stupid impressed. I also wasn't aware they had a new album out. I'll get on that tomorrow.
The more and more I dig into the Blacktronika artists that I didn't know, I'm really digging them. Specifically KMRU and Low Leaf. Both have shot up my must see's in recent weeks.
UK dates across Big Ears weekend. We can keep dreaming.
I saw that a bit ago and laughed. 2025 then.
These Lætitia Sadier dates though:
3/20/24 National Sawdust Brooklyn NY 3/21/24 Arts at The Armory Somerville MA 3/22/24 Johnny Brenda's Philadelphia PA 3/23/24 Songbyrd Washington DC 3/25/24 The Earl Atlanta GA 3/26/24 The Blue Room at Third Man Records Nashville TN
I'm still hoping for both Bar Italia and Arlo Parks as well. Past that, I'm cool with whatever.
Curious wording here. Doesn't seem to be an acrimonious split, but also the line about the "true spirit" could go either away.
There's been a few times over the years they've done their own thing. It usually focused on local/regional talent, and I'm pretty sure it was free but may be remembering wrong. Either way, the Schlitz is still cheap and there's a barstool with your name on it for a few days.
