seeing Taylor tonight. but before that: had the realization now that the chorus for "Karma", intentionally or not, sounds a LOT like CSS's "Music Is My Hot Hot Sex":
But is she going to actually use her position to do anything? She could be raising massive ammounts of money in Tennessee to donate to organizations that assist LGBTQ+ people, especially youth. Or donating a portion of her proceeds from each show to organizations in the city/state that show is in.
It's nice that she is speaking up. But she is in a position to do so much more.
And I'll add that the same thing can be said regarding Beyonce.

She is playing 60,000 cap. venues, raking in a shit ton of money, but is just like "This concert is a safe space." What the fuck does she think happens when those people go home?
Same goes for Beyonce.
FWIW, I am from North Carolina and we have not had one single major/semi-major artist do anything other than lip-service. I get not wanting to be like "Vote for x candidate, Not Y candidate."
But this is a coordinated genocide attempt. You cannot profit off of people you claim to stand for, then not funnel that money into legitimate causes.
p.s./unrelated: Props to Pete Davidson for not hitting it....

I gotta disagree here. Criticize the ones who are doing nothing and quit trying to demonize the good ones. It's such a counterproductive perspective to never think someone is doing "enough". Can you imagine donating money, speaking out, and the response is "ugh.. is that really all you got? Can't you donate MORE?!" Like cool, I'll never donate anything again if that's the response, good luck guys.
What's Pete Davidson done for the community in comparison to Taylor? Wtf is that even supposed to mean in your last statement?

Charlie Horse (ProBoards being weird): I will give her credit for doing something. But as one of the few artists who is capable of selling out arenas, worldwide, and has a lot of Queer fans, can she not (metaphorically) dive in if she is going to tip her toe in the water? (And the same goes for any other major artist being like "I love my Queer fans")
Re: Pete Davidson. He hasn't done shit, but is coming from a different background (working-class and traumatized, not having an AOL-CEO parent). Realize the comment was out of context, but I meant: As much as he gets around, glad he hasn't gotten with her. She uses men for song fodder. And does not seem to be self-aware, in the way Pete is.

I am super late to this party. I'm trying to get tickets for my niece (Denver or LA). She doesn't have a ticketmaster account nor is she a verified fan. I have a ticketmaster account but am not a verified fan. Is it possible to become a verified fan now? Initial research seems to imply 'no, it's not possible'. And verified fan seems to be the only way to buy face-value tickets, right? I tried to jump in for the last batch of Swift tickets in LA but I got rejected for not being a verified fan. It seems like one option is to find someone who does have a TM account and is a verified fan and beg them to 'borrow' their account. But that seems super sketch and risky. Not looking for resale. Just looking for someone to tell me to stop wasting your time. Thanks.

You came to the wrong place for that. We are music junkies. We never give up.
They may release some more seats for a show last minute. They did here. Just keep on top of it, you might get them. Wishing you luck.
Wont matter, they stil fall under the verified fan umbrellas.
Its either getting lucky that you find an actual human being selling tickets for regular price or you pay a fortune on resale. Or go camp out st the box office each date.
My wife's friend scored four tickets to one of the Milan shows next July.. So now we have to figure out how TF we are both going to afford doing that haha. I don't even want to try to do the math on this

Taylor Lautner called Taylor Swift "humble" and i haven't been able to stop thinking about that
She is a lot of adjectives, but humble ain't one of them
Why do you say that?
i could write a thesis on this probably, but my main viewpoint is that there is no such thing as a humble celebrity/millionaire (soon to be billionaire). someone who is "destined for stardom from a young age" is not humble. you don't put art out there because you're humble.
for example, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) is 1 hour and 44 minutes long with six songs from the Vault. her next re-release, 1989, is reported to have NINE songs from the vault. being humble would require you to edit a little bit and realize not everything needs to be out there. being humble doesn't encourage you to remix the song 6 times and encourage fans to BUY it. idk. i understand the fan base loves it and eats it up, but let's be honest and admit Taylor is a calculated businesswoman who is not humble. and that's not a bad thing. it's just such a weird thing to say to someone in a stadium full of 80,000 fans that is going to earn $13 million that night lol.
