you aren't wrong. but it feels a little more likely with MMJ, given how they are doing all this celebration around their 2004 set lately.
but if they do go over, the safest bet is 15 minutes over, 30 minutes max. like end set at 2:30am, encore with like a big long Steam Engine or Touch Me I'm Going To Scream > whatever big song they haven't played yet, OBH, off the record, wordless chorus, dancefloors. we aren't going to see them go over an hour or anything.
yeah when's the last time an act was given free reign to just play whatever they want as long as they want late night? feels like it's been pretty heavily scripted for a long time now.
pretty lights 2013 i believe. 2:30am-7:00am, don't remember exactly when he was scheduled, i think 2-4am?

Pigeons Played Ping Pong for at least 45 minutes longer than their scheduled set time last year LN Saturday, I left at 3:30 and they were still playing after I had gotten my fill of Chris Lake
browell how has seeing MMJ for the first time earlier this week influenced your LN choice? i can't remember if you were an all in korn guy or not beforehand.
no Korn for me since the schedule came out! been undecided on if I should leave for JID or not, and i thought the MMJ solo show this week would make me more inclined to leave. however, i’d say it probably made the decision harder lol it’s ultimately going to be an in the moment decision based on how hard they’re ripping for me.
if MMJ was listed 1-4 or even 1-3:30, i would probably feel better leaving for JID because after getting 3 hours of MMJ the other night, i’m not sure 1 hour will be enough

Am I the only one treating MMJ as the Saturday headliner? i am seriously considering skipping ALL of Odesza to maintain a decent MMJ spot after Tyler Childers.

I feel like the Saturday late night in general is the main event of this year.

I’m gonna use Odesza to run back to camp and freshen up. Anticipating being able to walk into the MMJ pit at any point during the show, not sure how naive that is.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I think consistent powdering is the only way to survive bonnaroo no matter what lol

lol at good bands but that was a very entertaining show that night. I don’t think they are anything special but good enough and easy to have fun at any time I saw them. Goofy but a decent level of talent with some of their musicians. That ended at 4:01, and I was told that they were told they could play as late as they wanted to. Unfortunately with nothing nearby to drink, I’m kind of glad they didn’t go farther over.
feels like every year some act is scheduled for a late night set and ppl are like "oh they're definitely going to play longer than that" and then they don't

I’m guessing this a good amount of people’s plans. Mine included
Bonnaroo 2008 was my first MMJ show and launched me into seeing them 25 times in the following 8 years. Still my favorite show of their's. I remember feeling like they were controlling the weather through their performance. Anytime Jim & gang started jamming out, it would storm harder. And during intermission, the rain completely stopped, only for it to resume when they came back on stage. So many fun covers during this performance..."Hot Fun In The Summertime," "Hit It and Quit It", and an absolutely stellar "Tyrone." Ranked as my #3 favorite concert (right behind LCD Soundystem MSG and Prince Greensboro 2011).

Slightly off subject but what time do we expect the MMJ primavera stream to take place on Amazon prime/twitch tomorrow June 3? (Edit - looks like 12:55 cst)

It’s on now. Really good and not making knowing I’ll be missing most of the set any easier though this is a little bit of ointment.
