With on the released maps, what Tollboth do you recommend coming in through? Based on rumblings from my volunteering friends, the Back 60 is going to be Staff Camping only but I have no idea where on the map that even is. I'm a standard GA plebeian if that matters.

The Back 60 would be off this map in the bottom right hand corner. It's where Woodland Ave and Production Rd lead to. It may have changed in the last year or two, but you'll probably be able to find someone that says each tollbooth is the best tollbooth. To some extent, you may not be able to choose as the Highway Patrol directs traffic, and they don't give two shits as to which one you want to go in.
Thanks! Hadn't been able to find what was referred to as the back 60 before. Guess I'll go where I'm told and hope for the best lol
Dave is correct in that 1) people will have different opinions on which is "best" and 2) once you're being directed to go somewhere, that's what you gotta do, but I do believe that the tollbooth directly off the main highway tends to be the most used/busy. Just by way of how many people are coming from south or north down I-24. since i come from the east, i've typically gone down Shedd Road and found that to be a pretty good way to not be directed to the busiest tollbooth (the one right off the highway), but it isn't foolproof of course.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
you may not have a choice. in my experience you're sort of at the mercy of the highway patrol/parking volunteers. they try (not always sucessfully) to divert people to tollbooths to keep them semi equally distributed.
really gonna depend on what day you come in too. if you're coming in later i'd try to avoid the east toll booth so you aren't out in plaza 10/11.
Our Tennessee Highway patrol are predominantly assholes that will send you the most inconvenient way in. Ignore them. Run your car over their foot, tell them you have a car full of drugs and you ain’t got no damn time to waste in a line. I’m sure that will work.

I've found if you offer to smoke them out they are chill about tollbooths. They'll hop in the car and blaze a blunt with the windows up and you can go wherever. I drove straight into centeroo this way one time.

I've had both good and less nice experiences with both the East and West toll booths. It's a bit of a crapshoot, like guessing where you'll end up once inside.
It seems like the best bet is to come early in the day whichever day you arrive, and the earlier in the week the better. I know last year was an extreme anomaly but we rolled right on through the gates last year around noon on Wednesday. There was seriously no line and I had to check to make sure we had the date right and that they didn't move Bonnaroo.

Anybody with a time machine: the West tollbooth moved really quick and had a short line late Wednesday morning. Choose that. We were on a direct line between Pods, er Plazas 3 and 7 but closer to 7, right behind ADA/Base Camp, which was a short walk to the tower entrance to Centeroo, which also moved really quick but featured precisely 0 high fives all weekend.
EDIT: If you have a time machine, disregard that. Show up early Tuesday, set up camp really close to Centeroo, then go do something else and come back whenever you're ready.
If you have a time machine use it for a better purpose than dodging lines at Bonnaroo...just use your transporter and beam yourself in to the plaza of your choice!
