But nothing...and I mean absolutely nothing! Will ever compare to the storms we had in 2004! We all thought a tornado was gonna take out bonnaroo! The year of the mud people, tractors pulling people out of 3' deep mud and the nitrous guy just outside our campsite lol

this is like the tenth time i've told this story, but when we were leaving sunday in 2004, it was pouring down rain. i turned my car around to get into the traffic line and got firmly stuck in the mud. was absolutely miserable, drenched, it was dark. out of the sheets of blinding rain came an angel, looking tired as all hell, with a wench from his truck. he hooked it up to my car and pulled me out of the mud without saying a word.
i just kind of love that happened, specifically because he didn't walk up all smiles and high five fridays and love and light. he obviously didn't want to pull me out of the mud. but he had the ability to, he saw somebody in need, and decided to help. the action is more important than the feeling, and certainly more important than words.
That's awesome! Definitely a year those of us that were there will never forget! Those BLACK freakin' skies tho! We all were sure a tornado was gonna take bonnaroo!
It was also the year of the mud people! Seeing people everywhere covered from head to toe in thick brown mud, dancing the day away, was soooo much fun! I remember thinking "how are they gonna get all that mud off?"

Looking like 2024 is going to be hot and sunny, highs around 90F. It might rain or storm Sunday, Sunday night, and Monday, but not before then.
I'll take that. Not the same heat as 2010 when it hit 105 on Saturday, and 2011 seemed exceptionally hot, but we need to prepare for this nonetheless. Stay hydrated, folks. And don't forget the sunscreen. This will be the sort of heat that some people will certainly struggle with, but most of us will be able to tough it out. Hit up a med tent if you start to feel crumby, and grab some water if not IV fluids.
It’s going to be hot af this weekend. Highs in the nineties. Sunday it’s lookin like 97 with a heat index in the hundreds. Hopefully we keep this low humidity we have right now. You know the drill. Stay hydrated and in the shade when you can. Party hard at night and rest during the heat of the day. And bring that SPF 100 suntan lotion

Yours truely,

Lmao. Heat surge. Sunday is the main day I have daytime shit to see. Luckily most of it is tent. What’s ultra fucked up about the forecast is days and days of calm wind. I hope that changes, but I have masks and a couple of bandanas. Gonna be dusty as shit.

Definitely looking like there's potential for a real Dustaroo. And the forecasts now are even a bit hotter than the first one I saw. So I'll be spending less time at the Solar Stage and Sonic Stage, and more in the Cinema and Comedy tents.
