both lcd and radiohead are listed as "rock bands" on wiki in the main description with electronic as one of the genres off to the side.
idk why you'd be worried about doing PL. this should be called Electronic Act, not EDM. because the rules allow for tons of shit that isn't EDM and basically the only EDM specific thing taken so far is Excision
Yeah but also you are like, a passionate electronic music person with good taste and unapologetic confidence in the electronic music you enjoy. You managed to get me, an avowed odesza hater, to listen to odesza and have a great time at an odesza set. You have the musical knowledge necessary to draft an awesome and interesting EDM lineup with zero rock and roll bands, unlike the rest of these knuckleheads you're drafting with.
yeah so my strat was to snag this and provide some additional context with it before lineups are done/voting starts (e.g. a setlist, maybe mention a few songs that would be remixed) and aside from this pick, go for a lot more traditionally electronic stuff. i mean, that still IS my plan, im just feeling a bit down at getting made fun of for it so much, but alas, thats inforoo.
i truly was between going for this and taking calvin, and i clearly picked wrong in the eyes of many. so it goes! but the rest of my picks wont be in this style of "sorta electronic, need a curated playlist to make it so," i promise, Posty <3

in my head i was thinking that Radiohead would be a fun legacy act to do on a Sunday evening of this Friday to Sunday fest, with a lot of other fully electronic stuff grounding it - and that it would make for a diverse crowd that attends the fest, including some folks who come for the Radiohead but then end up discovering a lot of electronic music they might've not listened to a lot before.
basically there was a whole thought process in my head for why this was fun and it hasn't translated to others haha and that iz ok

I support you and think this is a great thought process.
I also don't quite understand what "b2b" means, so take my support in an EDM draft with a grain of salt...

it means butt 2 butt the djs stand back to back and they have to stay in contact the whole set or get off the stage

it is all good if some folks choose to perceive this one pick as a flaw in my lineup at the end - that is their prerogative; i just really hope that those people don't just automatically discard my full lineup from consideration because they think i picked this with the intent of "oh, here is a way to cheat the system" as opposed to the intention that i described above.
i had the Kid A idea in my head then went to check Wiki, saw "electronic," and still pondered it for 5-10 minutes to make sure i felt like i could do it without sacrificing the electronic vibe of the festival lineup as a whole that i want to curate. and i felt confident i could, so i went for it.

petition to change the name from EDM Draft to Electronic Draft because truthfully, more than half the lineups so far have a top act that isn't at all EDM (obv me included)
