Anyone been, anyone going?
I went in '19 and apart from seeing DMX play his second to last show ever, it sucked. Lines took forever, sound was awful, hot as hell, crowds were rude, water was scarce, the usual festival Ls.
They've moved, are under "new management" in a completely different location, and I'm still hesitant to give them money again lol
It is absolutely, 1000% not under new management and don't let them spread that shit. After 2021 (ABSOLUTE disaster, lawsuits abound, vendors suing, bands swearing to never come back, no shuttles, etc.) and 2022's issues Jonathan Slye "stepped down," but guess who's still giving all the updates, spearheading all the contracts, and much, much more. It was a lie to get people back in their good graces because they hurt their reputation so badly. Three years in a row now you haven't been allowed to park onsite and the "shuttles" that are supposed to take you the 5 miles back and forth almost never are present or overloaded leaving people to walk it. It's fucking sad they're able to continue having it after screwing so many fans over

As a Virginian into heavy music, I wholeheartedly agree its a shame and a smear that they're able to continue this fest as is, especially given their track record. To top it all off, 90% of the bands have 20 minute sets. What's the fucking point of being able to play five-six songs then you're done, all while five other bands are playing at the same damn time? Talk about conflict city. 🙄
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
I must be a garbage pit, I think that looks fine for a quick lunch other than being unidentifiable lol could be pulled chicken, tuna, maybe pork? If that's your whole ass meal for the day, though...

It was the only meal offered Thursday, and the only reason the crew ate Friday is because z Slipknot called in catering for all bands and staff once they realized the festival wasn't going to supply anything

Update: 2024 refunds have not yet been sent out, even though the festival confirmed it's not happening this year.
The festival had to pay a lawsuit to an equipment rental company for over $600k, as they never paid the company for the 2021 festival.
2023 resolution is STILL unknown as they haven't acknowledged it in months. It was supposed to be in Q1 for the two missed days of music, but we're two months away from it being a YEAR now. They also continue to use the word "resolution" as opposed to "refund".
