It’s a caution to anyone anywhere not to be jumping to conclusions based on unvetted online information which can take a life of its own such as it did word of mouth in my prior post from the L.A. Times (e.g. actual journalists) falling for hearsay. It’s the age of misinformation and disinformation, and there are people on [all sides creating and spreading bullshit to fit their agendas. It wasn’t a call out on you.

officials have CONFIRMED that written threats were sent to Gaza hospitals. is it possible this was an errant missile completely separate of that? sure yes it is possible, I have said that and others in here have said that too. but did it make sense as the most likely scenario whatsoever when the news came out? no, no it did not. I won't apologize for thinking that Israeli was probably to blame for a Gaza hospital getting bombed when they had, in fact, delivered threats to ummm...bomb a Gaza hospital?
Reuters reported yesterday that there has now been "51 attacks against healthcare facilities in Gaza" (direct quote). and the Israeli military had warned them to evacuate. and you're asking me to continue explaining why I thought that that same Israeli military threatening them to get out was the ones who then harmed that facility.

I'm just asking you to acknowledge that you have been also complicit in the spread of misinformation within this thread. I'm not defending the person who made the beheaded babies claim. Ohh that was my knee-jerk reaction to his press clips from the ME. More to do with his mental fitness than having an alternative in mind that I actually like. Haven't paid much attention and not sure the Dems have many second string folks that I'm certain would do a much better job. But many could be more competent at the basics. In other words, I don't actually have a strong opinion on actually primarying him.

yes i do know that they are anti-UN. i didn't mean to indicate they were doing it out of humanitarian intent; but intent is not the same as impact and in this scenario, their vote was the more humanitarian one in terms of what it tangibly supports than the US one to reject the resolution. thats all i meant.

for me talking about this shit im coming from the perspective of someone who was invested to an unhealthy amount in the arab spring within an academic and activist dynamic on the other side of the world. The progress of that was some serious disillusionment. nonsecular activism vs. fascist gov. vs pol. islamic groups continues to be the dynamic and finding a pathway for a positive outcome from all this trauma im just not seeing....this sucks
