Is anyone in here surprised this is what Israel is doing
No, this is pretty much what I expected. I am a little surprised at how brash they are being. Nor do I think creating a potentially massive humanitarian crisis will in any way help them get back to some form of normalization. So it's pretty self-destructive and unhelpful for Israel as well. But they are lead by some pretty far right loonies at the moment and they tend to burn everything down.

I admittedly am no expert but it feels like the leaders of Hamas thought normalization was getting too far down the road and chose to attack the way they did and everything since has gone exactly to plan

Radicalization everywhere. Jim Jordan. Wtf. Next thing there’s going to be a 9.8 magnitude earthquake or The Comet Is Coming.

I'm no expert either but I saw some reports claiming even Hamas was shocked at the "success" of the attack. But yeah, you have to assume this was on their list of goals. They probably think they can pull the IDF into urban warfare and bleed them. Likely taken a page from Bin Laden's overall strategy of pulling in the West. Which he took from his involvement in the Afghan Mujahideen fighting the Soviets.... partially funded by the West. Time is a flat circle.

The radicalized are already there but sure this will create more. You have to assume some folks will be willing to sneak in , if they can, to join the fight. But don't forget plenty of occupied people will be willing to take up arms. You don't really need to be radicalized when you're simply fighting for your home and family's survival.
There are some indications that the IDF might move into The West Bank as well. Which.... yikes. This could drag on for a long time.
I have no idea if this could become a wider conflict. It's certainly not impossible.

Reports of white phosphorous being used on Lebanon:
I shared this a couple days ago and one of the zealots in here said HRW is an untrustworthy source and didn’t believe this was real…something along those lines….

Reports of white phosphorous being used on Lebanon:
Yeah, I was thinking of wider than their neighbors. Should have worded it better. They've killed at least one journalist in Lebanon out of the two crews they've hit. Bombed airports in Syria. This is all responses to Hezbollah I think?
And bombed the crossing on the Gaza side of the Egyptian border.

I never said anything to question the validity of the actual report or article. I pointed out that you took a shot at the WSJ's credibility, then shared a report from a source that has very well documented credibility issues. I was simply pointing out your own hypocrisy.
Why add in the line about not believing the article is real? Why lie about being called an antisemite? If you have to lie to prove your point, maybe you don't have a leg to stand on in the first place?
Ah yeah, another one of those argument types where you avoid the real evidence and attack the organization reporting instead. Clearly you didn’t even bother to look at the article, right?
Numerous confirmed videos, first-hand eye-witness accounts. This also isn’t the first time Israel has used White Phosphorous either. Thisn’t someone claiming they heard from a soldier they’re beheading children. It’s, you know, journalism.
And you clearly have zero knowledge of the media landscape. WSJ is owned by the one and only Rupert Murdoch, conservative media-magnate and 1/6 coup-plotter.
And I was actually only 24 hours early on actual casualties. Interesting that WSJ hasn’t commented anymore now that we have more Palestinians dead….
I didn't read the article you shared, nor am I disputing the story. I was simply pointing out your own hypocrisy.
