I mean with Nashville being literally right there as its main metro it is surprising to me that it has taken this long for Bonnaroo to get a full on country headliner.

So luke combs is the expected thursday headliner? I don't listen to him at all, but that seems like a giant booking for a thursday spot and even bigger than PL. I'm not excited about him, but if he is thursday then i am cool with it, if he is fri/sat/sun then that is disappointing.
This does feel like the bonnaroo guys saw that grammy performance and the lightbulb lit up.

last night, brad told someone on twitter to guess the thursday headliner and he’d say if they got it right, and they guessed tracy chapman. i noticed that a response from brad had been deleted which felt odd to me because i knew it couldn’t be tracy since deegle didn’t know of any women in the top 8 at a time where i believe he already knew the thursday headliner. so if brad was just denying it, why delete the tweet? but people on the discord are saying that the now deleted reply said that tracy chapman was a great guess but that he wouldn’t explain why

I believe someone guessed tracy chapman as the thursday headliners. One of the guys who was on the What Podcast that teased the thursday headliner said something to the effect of 'That's a good guess you're closer than you think". It was interepreted as Luke Combs because Luke Combs has a cover of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman

-The third letter would “give it away” -It is a solo act -It is not a comedy or pop act -They would be impossible guess, which implies that it would be an unusual booking for Bonnaroo (This person works for Bonnaroo though so like, his whole job is to drum up excitement)
To the contrary though, there’s also a little implied crumb that the Thursday headliner is someone that would be normally not be a big enough name to headline another night, which would obviously eliminate Luke Combs as he would clearly headline any night he plays
