Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Hey so this is random, but I could use some help with something if you guys are in to it.
I'm going to be working with Roo along with our podcast and TOTEM and stuff to put together some resources for first timers. My thinking with all of this sort of thing is that I want to be welcoming of a fresh crowd, but also we want to keep traditions and such alive and keep Roo weird.
If there's any inside joke, story, resource, tradition, etc, that you thought was important to keep going with the next generation, what is it, and how would you explain it to a new Roovian?
Yell Bonnaroo at random times as loud as possible and respond back with a loud and proud “Bonnaroo” when someone else does the same. Very cool hearing it spread across the campgrounds and it doesn’t happen as much anymore.

i don't know if this fits into what you are looking for, but something i see a lot mostly on r/bonnaroo and sometimes around here is people who regret missing a set because their group wanted to go to another set and they didn't want to leave their group. but bonnaroo is one of the most fun places in the world to kick it solo. it's totally OK to separate and meet back up later and share your war stories.
Sturgill Simpson and Luke Combs Childish Gambino and Tyler, The Creator
That's a lot of Country and Rap in the top 8.
but Sturgill is not a name the average country-radio listener knows. I’d say he has a much bigger fanbase within the indie/jam scene than the traditional country scene.
Also, how bad is everyone going to be crushed when Justice isn’t on this?

it is kind of funny that the prospective headliners so far are rap and country while on the podcast they only focused on an increase in EDM and rock/guitar music and never really mentioned rap or country at all

I will never forgive myself for following my friends to Odesza instead of going to John Prine in 2019

lucky my story was the opposite, i wasn't really into John Prine or Odesza, but figured i'd go to Odesza because at least they'd have a cool light show. at the insistence of snowman i went to John Prine instead and i'm so glad i did.
years later at the insistence of Rummy 500 i went to see Odesza, and i'm also so glad i did.

Yeah that’s really bad and must be some really bad friends. lol jk. Lindsey’s dumbass went to Odesza with her friends and got in a k hole and blew up the portapotty hahaha. I only blow her spot up because she missed John Prine and also she’ll never know hahahahah
feeling brave enough to jump in here for the first time ... any opinions on whether alice in chains is in play? i haven't seen them since music midtown 2015, they're playing sonic temple in may (don't know if overlap with that fest is expected), id kill to see them on the farm.
They are still so fucking good. Not every band who loses that important of a front man can persevere. But since Jerry was 1A anyway, they did. I haven't seen them since before the pandemic, but I did get to see them at Lolla 1993.
/You you are so special. You have the talent to make me feel like dirt. And you, you use your talENT to take me under, and cover me with dirt....

For that generation, whispered misinformation about secret sets and artists.
Otherwise, random idea bingo cards, never leaving Centeroo once it opens until Sunday night.

meet us at the ice machine in plaza 2
oh damn! It's 2. That's why no one ever showed up at plaza 3...
No LCD Soundsystem, Sturgill, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan in Porto kinda took me by surprise. It's a week later and booking wise all of these would make sense to play both Barca and Porto. 2024 had much more of the bigger artists they shared.
Can someone make a list of bands that are on the Barcelona lineup but not the Porto one?

The latest What podcast makes it seem like the comedy tent is likely back.
No two weekend Roo, 27% of surveys said EDM was their main preferred genre, rock was #2. Introducing a few thousand student tickets for cheap and also doing a carpool campsite ticket, 3+ to a car get a discounted camping pass.

Mine is sitting at the big tables outside Brewer's Tent and just sharing/swapping weed & having some drinks & just chatting about music & stuff.

If you can't decide between two conflicts, pick atent over a main stage.
There used to be an actual shakedown street where you could buy anything. I once got vodka shots from a guy selling sushi out of his cooler.

Why do I keep seeing Tipper in mocks. Did I miss something? Also this is so mid but would probably move a ton of tickets.

Idk but I’ll go if they get Dave. Though he’s calling it quits, I’m sure he’ll be back at some point in the future, but any time I saw him (7x?) it was a good time. I don’t like the smell of DMT so tipper shpongle and whoever shows do annoy me for that. But it’s not a deal breaker. I’m hoping Polyphia will be active in the US instead of Europe this summer. I’m not sure how a festival set would work for them since the four times I saw them were sold out and for fans. I’m not sure a festival show would be as rewarding, but I’d be rail and headbanging. Come on roobus Daniel, let me plan summer travels. Either or both?
