After seeing King Gizzard again last night, I'm all for them playing every night at Roo they want to. They even threw in a "rave set" for about 20 minutes, and if they just want to do a full set of that one light at Roo I'm not going to be opposed.
The Mardi Gras World show was somehow my first time seeing them after having tickets 4x in the past few years. A heavy PetroDragonic Apocalypse set was the setlist I didn't know I needed. I'll settle for that being considered one of our 2 "metal" acts
Not going to consider Tame as possible for my own sake, but when Cory teased Sunday with emphasis on it being two curated artists people have *really* been asking for, I thought Tame - Glass Animals would have been the best fit for that.

Didn't Daniel also say he's really excited about Sunday, or am I just making that up? If so, Tame Impala seems like a slam dunk.

No Tame at all this year unfortunately, I got an update on that since I posted this morning.

I am super excited about one of the acts on Sunday, I've been chasing them down for some time and will totally get in the pit.
I'm less convinced that one of the open headliner slots is a big rock act like I'd once suspected, but I think the headliner for either Friday or Saturday is a huge wild card at this point if the tea about Gambino only recently dropping is true. This is only my personal speculation based on what everybody else knows, but Olivia seems to be one of the slots on Friday and Saturday.
I don't think they can bump up a replacement from a sub to a full headliner on the other day she isn't playing, because they're arguably going to be seen as already having done that for the two Sunday names. So we could be in for a surprise in the form of a booking they're making right now.
candrewkremeard can y’all’s team corroborate the statement that Gambino had been booked and recently dropped out? Not sure if it helps or hurts our chances at Tyler if true

I'm just visiting from the coachella board to say that there was a speck on my monitor and it looked like this thread was renamed to Bongaroo and for a solid 2 seconds I laughed.
Dave came up in my neck of the woods but I’ve only seen DMB once. I’ll say this about the experience: his fans are absolutely obsessed, and that’s something I always respect an artist for, so long as they’re respectful as well. That said DMB would be toward the bottom of my headliner barrel; I just know he was recently announced to headline a summer festival in Charlotte and they feel like a band that Roo would have on speed dial for this type of situation of a headliner dropping out within a short period of time before lineup drop

So Olivia is the rock headliner? She’s really good and a great live show but people calling her a rock act is bizarre, it’s no more rock than an Avril show. It’s solidly good poo music, this isn’t Hole or PJ Harvey.

Hot take but I'd be happy to have DMB, I've never seen them and always wanted to.
I wouldn't say it's that hot of a take. DMB catches shit online for the "DMB doesnt have any songs for dancing like this" memes but those people obviously haven't seen Dave live or have heard any of his music besides his radio songs from the 90s. Question is more of how big of a pull would he be in 2025.
