Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
thought I saw that but tbh I don’t want to look again as I want to be somewhat surprised whenever I see this show
Originally I didn’t have any FOMO on missin’ this new Gambino tour, especially as he’s playin’ an arena here with shit sound. But then I took a look at the setlist and saw “Heartbeat” and changed my mind! Now my wife and I are tryin’ to score tickets and not spend a fortune.
idk what city you’re in but i was able to get lower bowl tix for $75 each. higher up seats were as cheap as $37
So I heard from one of my sources that Gambino is 99% in with him being likely on Saturday but flexible. It's not locked (there's a lot of oddball contracts/handling that gets negotiated from what I learned for headliners) but it's fairly close to a sure thing.
A Donald Glover HL set with a Donald Fagen led superjam would be a goofy old bonnaroo thing that would be sorta silly and actually kick so much ass, but also never happen anymore.

So we get Gambino after he wraps his nationwide arena tour and with a production that is tailor made for arenas and not an outdoor venue…sounds so Bonnaroo.
The new tour looks cool but that production isn’t going on What.
”But younger attendees, who are the lifeblood of events, keeping them alive and replenishing audiences, are not showing up in sustainable numbers for jam-heavy lineups.
This isn’t just my opinion—it’s backed by data.
Just look at the period from 2010 until now. The entire landscape has shifted, and events outside of artist-specific one-offs like Mondegreen have struggled or disappeared entirely.”
We've got a bit more recording and editing to do tonight, but I should be uploading the next Roo Bus podcast late tonight with a lot to kind of kick off rumor season.
We had a panel on who really investigate this stuff and know a fair bit on how things work behind the scenes, and we dove into what we're thinking are real possibilities for headliners and sub-headliners for next year.
I don't want to be that guy that just drops some vague promo without having some of the goods, so in no particular order, here's some of what we're thinking we can potentially narrow the main pool down to at this point:
Childish Gambino Tame Impala Dua Lipa Sabrina Carpenter Charli XCX Phish
Edit: I should probably also talk Tame since y'all know how I am about this. I think the odds are very good that it'll happen and I know that a lot of the powers that be want it to happen just as much as most Roovians do. But from what I've picked up, there's just a lot of unknowns at this point. Like, how far along is the new album and how a tour for next year might look like.
I don't think a lot of those things become clearer until later this year, but I am still very optimistic that it happens next year and I'm even more optimistic it'll be this fabled Currents set if and when it does happen.
Gambino, Tame and Phish would be cool, but 3 returning headliners? Has that happened before?
I wouldn’t expect that specific trio, it seems extremely likely that one of those pop ladies will be one of the three. At the very least they’ll be a sub.
Sabrina’s OSL stream looked pretty disappointing. A bit of an obvious statement but would much rather have Dua. Her playing ACL this fall gives me hope.
Charli as a sub would be fantastic. Don’t think she would headline but she is having a moment right now.

Is Brat really big enough to make Charli go from playing medium sized clubs on the Crash Tour to headlining? I’d be very ok with it, just not sure that’d happen
The only issue I've got with having Gambino headline again is it still relatively feels like we just had him. That would have been six years ago in real time, but only four Bonnaroo's ago. That feels like a really quick turnaround, and it kind of highlights even more that we seem to have a revolving door of a large handful of artists that come back to headline every so often. That already felt like an issue this past year with RHCP and Posty.
That said, that Gambino set back in 2019 was probably in my top five of shows I've ever seen so I'm still very much cool with it.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I think you can consider that Phish set after Gambino to be a Late Night set and a bit out of the ordinary. Kind of how Deadmau5 played after Kendrick that one time.
I think someone’s already made a similar configuration but I’d be pretty stoked for something like this.
Thu. Tipper
Fri. Dua Lipa
Sat. Childish Gambino
Sun. Tame Impala
every day Dua doesnt announce a US tour, the more likely it is that she is playing Coachella which IMO decreases the bonnaroo chances pretty significantly

Dua was apparently asking for a wild amount of money to be booked, I don't know if that was just last year's info or what
