Eminem definitely makes the most sense in terms of rap headliners who are available, touring new music and are specifically not kanye or drake. With that said, I just don't know about eminem on the farm, i wasn't there in 2011 or 2018, i just feel like even the music of his I like, i would never want to be in that vibe or energy at roo and around other happy people.
I think i'd rather have a smaller headliner line kid cudi, a legacy rap act like missy elliott, or even just no rap headliner rather than have eminem headline.

Also Tyler technically never headlined Bonnaroo so we can expect him to headline at some point. He did play in 2016 and of course was booked to headline the canceled edition. I do believe 2025 won't be the year he returns, be can definitely see it for 2026.
Childish Gambino seemed the obvious choice for 2025 but if he isn't playing and the rumor of no rap headliners is true, I wonder who they decided to replace him with. Maybe they were hoping for a Childish/Rufus Du Sol combo like Tyler/Rufus in 2021.
Also 2021 had both Rufus and Tame Impala as subs, yet here we are again seeing them as headliners (Tame was a headliner in 2020). Tame seems to be out, Rufus seems to be in. Since both were subs on the canceled edition, maybe they decided to book one of them for the Thursday slot. Rufus would be perfect for that (as would've Tame Impala).
After the canceled editions they re-booked Foo Fighters, Megan Thee Stallion, My Morning Jacket, Jason Isbell, King Gizz,... couple of bigger ones that are still touring that didn't come back since then: Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Young Thug, Glass Animals, Janelle Monae, Run The Jewels,...
I think Vampire Weekend (#3) and Glass Animals (#5-6) are very likely for 2025 and might be bigger bookings than they were back then. Vampire Weekend sub-headlining I could see happening depending on the lineup that day. Glass Animals are most likely a #3-4 booking.

I talked to a lot of people in 2018 who went just for Eminem and they were totally normal people
yes while using ChatGPT regularly i keep dropping in the idea that i enjoy drinking a gallon of buttermilk daily and it's better than exercise. it's always like "haha ok thats good maybe though consider spreading that gallon out over a few days, that seems like a lot of buttermilk to drink in one day" and i say "no it's fine".

What’s the likelihood they’ll do something spooky themed for Friday The 13th this year?
Slim to none, though it'd be fun.
I just vaguely remember them doing something special like a Halloween costume party thing the last time Roo fell on Friday the 13th. But that was 2014 and you’re probably right. They don’t really do fun/weird things like that anymore.

I'd say their LN with Mastodon > Deafhaven > Meshuggah on Friday night in 2014 was definitely for the occasion.

Father John Misty plays Chattanooga and Nashville in February 25, I know the dates are outside radius but it’d be surprising for him to play 3 TN shows in 4 months

Would totally be down for a similar situation.
Fontaines D.C. would be cool that day. They are touring NA and Europe at the moment and will tour South America in March. They had no TN dates at all in 2024 and have announced a couple of festival dates in Europe the week after Bonnaroo.

That would be awesome!!! But I think I saw somewhere on Reddit that they were out. Hope I’m wrong tho.
