I took Thursday and Friday off from work tentatively planning to go to this over Memorial Day weekend.
I haven’t been to a camping festival since 2019 (fuck Bonnaroo 2021) and this is only like 6.5 hours from the twin cities. And I’ve somehow continued to miss Goose live so this would scratch that itch too.
Wonder if they have Billy Strings lined up for a drop in on the 26th
His mini-tour would align and he played the fest a couple years ago so that would be a viable add. Especially because this fest seems to always add some artists in later drops.
Plus they need to announce the red barn shows and I think that happens closer to the dates.
The band Orebolo on the lineup is actually a Goose 3-person acoustic side project. Looks like so far they’re only playing here and at Levitate in July.
Getting Disco Biscuits just feels necessary at this point considering they seem to have all my ‘00-‘10 jam bands on the lineup.
The LP Giobbi set doing Grateful Dead stuff sounds cool.
I’ll have to rely on others on recommendations on the other additions. I’ve got all my work approval stuff done so now I just need to buy my ticket stuff.

Artifakts is alright and live includes a drummer. Buku is cool if you like harder EDM. Cofresi is a percussion based EDM DJ out of Chicago I’ve seen a couple times. Sunsquabi is a pretty cool jam band, seen them a few times. DJ Logic rules. He’s often tied in with the jam scene and can spin turntables as good as anyone. Those are the only additions I know.

I went last year when it was still SummerCamp, don't skip on Dogma. He was amazing last year and has performed there for the last couple of years. Never heard of him before this festival.
SummerCamp is great. I love fests where once you're in, you're in. Not having to go through security each time to enter is awesome.
Also, whoever goes. Make sure you see Saxsquatch
Seems like the one wonky thing is you don’t camp right next to your car so you have to haul stuff a bit.
I’ve decided I’m gonna do one of the VIP packages as it looks like one of those benefits is at least parking significantly closer to your campsite. I think the 2 highest VIP packages allow you to camp next to your vehicle.
Purchased my ticket. The GA ticket is actually super cheap (only $275 after fees); I also added on the 2nd-tier VIP too which includes the Thursday Pre-Party + 2 Red Barn shows and other perks so still only like $750 all in.
I haven’t been to a camping festival since Eaux Claires Fest in 2018 (Fuck Bonnaroo 2021) so I’m pretty pumped. Plus I’ll finally get to see Goose

had some friends go last year to scamp and they loved it. few of them are headed back this year and I might swing it last minute so tbd
Still no schedule.. keeping my eyes on this, could be a fun one to prepare for Bonnaroo.
Schedule is out.
Seriously considering driving up to this again. Last year was a blast. I'd be arriving Friday but that's okay since that's my least favorite day. Only worried about my camping spot since the forest won't be an option. Too bad because at night it's an amazing place. Tickets aren't that expensive, but this is a festival that can get pretty rainy.
The layout also seems to be different as when it was still Scamp, the only thing I hope for is a repeat of their great campfire that keeps burning through the night. But with sets now going late on the mainstage as well, I think more people will be up to keep it burning.
Friday: Nothing too exciting but Josh Teed > String Cheese > STS9 is pretty cool to start the weekend. Not fan enough of Summit to see him till 4am but might familiarize myself with Th Werks and BUKU. In case I don't like them I'd probably call it a night.
Saturday: Slow start since there's not much I know in the beginning but one of my favorite runs of the weekend. Dogma > Manic Focus > Motifv > moe. & Umphrey's > Eggy (till 1.30am!). Late night with LN Radio and Sunsquabi is fun too.
Sunday: Good day to chill at the mainstage and listen/dance to some Doom Flamingo, moe. and a double portion of Goose. After midnight it's a clusterfuck of options with Esseks, LP Giobbi (Dead House), Saxquatch, Big Gigantic, Deadmau5 and Disco Biscuits. Maybe a little much to end my weekend but can't complain.

I read somewhere that the Campfire would be bigger since they upgraded the Campfire stage and Illumination stage to bigger ones.
It appears them being able to extend set times until 4am massively covers them dropping some of their previous mid-sized stages. Every stage goes until 4am now. What would be considered “Bonnaroo Late Night” is packed every night.
If you make it up, I’ll buy you a drink.
My initially thoughts:
Saturday: Orebolo > Moe. > UM (2 sets) > UM & Moe. > STS9 (Red Barn)
I was also not expecting Sunday to slap but wow. Moe. > Goose (2 sets) > LP Giobbi (Dead House Set) > Big Gigantic > The Disco Biscuits

You're going 2 days and VIP? That's what I'm considering now as well.
Thinking a VIP upgrade might be good for this festival. Since they got some extra concerts and parking that's actually close to camping, it might be worth it. If I drop Friday and go 2-day VIP then it's only $100 more than 3-day GA. With 1 red barn included I can still see STS9 on Saturday.

No I’ll be there all the days. I just got sick of typing out my schedule because I realized Friday is basically SCI / UM
Edit: Yeah VIP seemed like a big bonus here. Plus with the Moonshine stage going late, being able to chill in the vip viewing area will be clutch. I have Red Barn for STS9 on Saturday. That’d be a nice pickup if you do vip.
Plus I think if you are coming later, vip parking / camping will save a ton of time instead of having to haul gear across the entire grounds
