Prodigy always stacks their setlists at the start and if you need to miss anything it's usually the end.
Looks like they now open with Breathe -> Omen-> Firestarter-> Voodoo People which is straight gas and is better than anything Gaga has done past, present or future.
False… they’ve been playing Take Me to the Hospital at the tail end and that song might slap harder than anything they’ve ever written!
A great song but I would argue that even off of IMD that Omen goes harder.

GV would not be doing Prodigy any favors by booking them against Lady Gaga and presumably Mustard. I don't see them closing mojave. Outdoor before Gaga in Chem Bros/Justice slot feels most likely
Remembering Anti Up closed Mojave last year makes me feel more confident that Prodigy will be in there. I think the tents will have some djs in the beginning and end that will alleviate the heavy Sahara schedule.
Three 6 mafia on outdoor in the afternoon don’t feel right either. They gotta be a Sahara act
I guarantee you that would be a disaster re: the Sahara. When the Smoke Clears is probably a top 5 album for me in terms of the amount of times I've played it in my life and they still play a ton off of it and this is like, Gobi for the diehards music, not because our taste is better than anybody else but because we are more feral and degenerate than anybody else. Tear Da Club Up '97 and Put Ya Signs in the Sahara would fall so fucking flat in the Sahara. Especially to a younger audience, but they have always been a fringe act that only appeals to people with the most aggressive music taste. I am stoked but pretty surprised Coachella booked them. I know the Oscar and the memes make them seem universal but they are not. I think the best comp for the crowd energy/slot is slowthai late afternoon Gobi in '22 not that they have a ton in common but similarly appalling and aggressive to a large amount of attendees.

I think if you listen to Hanumankind's one big single Big Dawgs, you understand a bit more why three6 is on the lineup. The kid is straight up copying the flow from poppin my collar and its a big tiktok hit.

technically that's Project Pat's flow but point taken anyways
the Quasar IG post really sticks out this year. Nothing has been teased and not announced within a few hours/day except for that.
Maybe by loading they legit just meant they're working on it, but I don't know why they'd tease it like that, kinda weird.
They also shot themselves in the foot a bit since they have Sonora and Yuma pinned with the lineup, I wonder if they're waiting for those to get enough exposure first before dropping.

Yeah I really don’t see them having a set in a small tent during the biggest headliner of the fest. Also would be a weird and boring vibe for the Marias to close out that stage. 5/6 outdoor closers for the past 2 years have been major electronic acts and I’d bet the prodigy continues with that trend. To me they’re the legacy electronic acts that best fits that role in the whole lineup.
While they’re billed slightly lower than Justice/Chem/Gesa etc, I don’t think anyone billed as highly as them has played Mojave at least in the last couple years.

I said this when they posted but I’ll say it again: I think that was just them confirming that the stage is coming back and that the lineup for the stage is not on the poster. Who knows when we get it but I don’t read that reel as a confirmation it’s dropping imminently.
Right on. Def not mid. For sure the most popular. I think he does a great job of carrying the torch. Don’t see him turning into the kein bois.
He seems like a great guy who's really into the music. Sure he's spearheading this whole groove tech movement and he's somewhat of an imitator himself but his label curation and supporting of those inspired by him is really nice.
The music is just great too, I wish he'd stop keeping a lot of his IDs hostage though lol

Blondie
Labrinth underworld and Jai Paul were close
Underworld is definitely a good comparison. Jai Paul has an asterisk regarding the thing with his day, where apparently he took a higher billing in exchange for being listed for Sunday (which really didn't help how slammed the Saturday schedule was lol). His "true" billing could be considered lower than it appeared.

The problem is we know The Marias and FKA twigs are playing the outdoor. So unless either A) the Marias are playing at like 6:45, or B) they're having main/outdoor acts overlap a lot more this year, there's no room for Prodigy there. It's Mojave or Sahara.

I read it as an imminent release myself but then again, knowing GV, it was supposed to release yesterday but Fred Again and Justice b2b Kevin Parker just dropped out and they are hitting up Dom & Summy to see if they want a fourth DJ set in two years.
the thing is if you put the Marias at sunset and the Prodigy to close Outdoor, where do Parcels go?
of {Parcels, the Marias, fka twigs, the Prodigy} it feels like one of those artists can't be on Outdoor (and thus probably in a tent), and we have 2 of them already confirmed for Outdoor. I guess Parcels on Main at 5 isn't totally out of the question but would be disappointing for me personally

Prodigy feels more likely to end up somewhere else to me personally, but it’s a sticky one for sure.

My guess is Coachella puts him on at 5pm Yuma
He's confirmed late at Yuma. I'm honestly surprised he was even put at Yuma given how big he's grown, there's gonna be a big line. They should've put him at like 5:30 Mojave or later at Gobi.
