Anybody stay in a hotel last year? Any recommendations? Currently have a room at the little motel by the boardwalk but thinking of getting a room at a bigger hotel.

Some of the hotels are really really shitty down there. Be careful. If you can survive with literally just 4 walls surrounding you you'll be fine. I've always done Airbnb or a rental company where I can help it.

Yeah after discussing with my wife, I decided to cancel the motel and go with a different hotel hah.
Who does everyone think the 90's rock nostalgia acts will be this year? I wouldn't be surprised to see any or all of Barenaked Ladies, Collective Soul, or Live.. which would be a big letdown after Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket.. The Foo's or Chili's would redeem any 90's undercard acts, though.

Without question whoever is the headliner on Friday should be a favorite to headline Oceans Caling on Sunday. The Killers or Beck, both presumed favorites to headline anyway.

Friday seems like a go. Sunday a big maybe. No day seems as good as Friday from last year but its not horrible. Im more surprised they didnt snag Kahan.
I know the "Sublime" booking was allegedly a huge get for Coachella but it's booked here in the same place as Counting Crows and Rebelution and that feels about right

After thinking this over. A- I was blinded by The Killers, Saturday is fire otherwise and Sunday is the day where all the top bands I like 2 or 3 songs of each. B- This thing is going to sell like hotcakes, gonna have to buy a ticket soon. I could see this selling out in a few days to weeks like Sea Hear Now did last year. Feels like I'm in for the whole weekend.

This is what the scheduling looks like. It will be laid out almost exactly the same this year. This was the only day I went last year, they did sell single days.
We will get a few bands added around summertime. Most likely Friday and Sunday from the looks of it.
i have some vague interest in this. im not far in philly and there's enough each day to keep me entertained. do they sell single days?
Last year they only sold 3 day passes and it sold out
It's interesting how last year the cadence for lineup release was flipped with SHN which announced and sold tickets first. That sold out in 2 days. Whereas OC didn't sell out till near the event. The difference there is that OC had been canceled the first year leading to uncertainty going in.
Now that both are established I bet they decided to flip things and see how fast they can get OC to sell out before announcing SHN lineup and then hope SHN has enough years of patrons to sell that out quickly as well.

Sunday is definitely the weirdest day. I had no idea Boyz to Men still toured. I could never truly get excited about Barenaked Ladies since the original lead singer/songwriter left. I assume it will still be a fun show, but a little deflating. Blues Traveler? I had no idea they still toured either. Indifferent on Mt Joy. Guster and PPP would probably be fun though. Anyway they definitely packed the entirety of the alt radio rock bands on Fri/Sat.
boyz II men plays philly like every year around valentines day. ive been here my whole life and still havent seen them so the beach seems like as good of a place as any.
